    • Pretty Ricky Is Still Making Records Though!?

Written by The IPS in Blogs on May 26, 09

Imagine my surprise as I return from vacation and see the Internet buzzing about some Pretty Ricky video. I’m thinking, “who let them boys out of their broom closet to make some more ‘music’?!” Imagine my surprise when it’s just the light-skinned Spectacular one grinding with himself & his guardian angel in his little sister’s starter panties!

      What!? REALLY!?

I made it about 30 seconds past the intro and promptly had to go scrub my soul.

Who ever would think this was ok?! They got a new single…wamp. Nobody cares. Grind contest? What? Since when did Bow Wow start grinding? Does he know something we don’t?

And why is there a dude in the group named Lingerie?! He must change his name immediately after this fiasco.

If this ain’t zesty, I’ll pay you a quarter! Spring chicken lookin, paint lickin, paste eating, anemic braid having, zesty lookin boy LOL. I CANNOT!

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Apr 29, 09

He said he hopped out of bed and turned his fag on…I’m pretty sure that momofooku seeps through his sheets and is splashing rainbows all over his Sealy posturepedic!

Will the rappers be doing remixes to this?! Someone call Foxxjazell, she’s what hot in Chingy’s sheets the streets!

I’m tapping out going to turn on some basketball and scratch my balls cause this right here is too much for my soul today! Sweet Minty Jesus be a malfunctioning webcam for this dude!

Snoop Didn’t Get The Memo That His Boo Was Dead In His Basement?

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Apr 10, 09

      What?!

TMZ has nothing else better to do, I swear. ROFL @ this. Snoop is too high to think that clearly.

I think Uncle Charlie did it! “Shoodoodoobiedweedumbabayyyyyyy!!”*

If this frightening incident report on the California Highway Patrol’s website is correct — which we hope it’s not — Snoop Doggy Dog “has the dead body of his wife in his basement.” Murder was the case!

At 3:19 yesterday afternoon — while Snoop was getting high live on the internet — an anonymous tipper called the CHP to alert them of the alleged heinous situation… but apparently it was so ridiculous that no one at the CHP bothered to forward it to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.

So this is either really funny… or really, really, really messed up. (Source)

      I’m going to vote no.

*Please go listen to a Gap Band song if you have no idea what that was LOL

Fox Doing A New Reality Show Based On Layoffs…

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Apr 9, 09

      Workplace Violence

This will give a whole new meaning to the term “going postal”!!! Is this what it has come down to Fox?! Wow.

The Fox network is letting employees of some troubled small businesses decide which one of their colleagues will be laid off and turning the results into a reality show.

The series, “Someone’s Gotta Go,” is in production, but Fox wouldn’t say on Wednesday when it would go on the air.

Each episode will feature a company with about 15 or 20 employees that needs to cut costs because of the economy. Instead of the boss deciding who is fired, the company will open its books to show everyone’s salaries and let the employees make the call.

In an inverse to “The Apprentice,” the chosen one loses, instead of gets, a job.

Fox says the laid-off worker will get a small severance, but isn’t saying whether the network or producers are paying the participants in anything beyond the chance for prime-time fame. Fox is developing the show with Endemol USA, the company behind “Big Brother,” ”Deal or No Deal” and “Fear Factor.”

Tory Johnson, founder and chief executive of Women For Hire, which organizes job fairs and advises women seeking work, said she wonders whether “Someone’s Gotta Go” is a good idea at a time so many people are out of work.

“For most people who are concerned about job security or are desperate to get hired, I don’t think there’s much to laugh at in terms of watching someone else’s pain and misery,” said Johnson, a regular contributor to ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

But Mike Darnell, chief of alternative programming at Fox, said everyone who participates in the show knows fully what they are doing.

“I feel that it’s part of the times that we are living in,” Darnell said. “It’s certainly no worse than watching the news every night and hearing all the statistics and watching what is happening. To be frank, like all these shows, if you don’t want to watch, don’t watch it.”

Fox and Endemol have had “absolutely no trouble” finding companies willing to participate, he said. (Source)

WOW. I mean, just think though, I know there is at least ONE co-worker in your place of work that you wish would get fired for their 2 hour long lunch breaks and frequent “sick days” and loud convos about their baby daddies in the cubicle next to you.

But this is just kind of low I think.

What do you think? And can you imagine if this was in a Black-owned business!? ROFL Pookie go out back, pop the trunk and pop the glock! Or not. But yeah. LOL.

Grammy Performances: Best & Most WTF!

Written by The IPS in Blogs,Videos on Feb 9, 09

Be sure to check our Grammy recap/live blog if you missed it last night, whether on purpose or by accident LOL.

Best performance of the night goes to Coldplay hands down. They killed it with an a capella version of “Lost” brought out Brillo Pad Head Hova himself, and then switched it up to a amped performance of “Viva La Vida”. With the Liberty Bell stand in. Or whatever LOL.

Most WTF performance of the night went to Kanye & Estelle’s outfits. I mean, I love this song, trust me, but what I can’t wang with are those outfits. They look like aliens from the ORIGINAL Star Trek TV show. Especially Estelle. It was just too much for me, but the song is still dope. Kanye needs to find Jesus and walk with him again because his mullet shag is making my soul cry out to Sweet Minty Jesus!

      Video Reviews: Mya – “Paradise”

Written by The IPS in Videos on Nov 17, 08

So did anyone else know Mya got another record deal? No, well me either. Until today. Apparently she’s signed to some Japanese label named Manhattan Records (in Japan?) and this is the first single. Ne-Yo wrote it too.

      Wow, so…are the Japanese deaf?

I’m saying, Mya has the musical range of a Christmas caroler with the flu. Besides looking GREAT, what are the Japanese seeing that we aren’t?

They are going to be selling her album by the docks for $.50, and I don’t mean American LOL.

Anyway, support Miss Mya’s quest to get rent & food a career and buy the import or something LOL. Ne-Yo must have given her a “recession” discount on this track…

      Subway Ad

I will admit, I’ve said “I’m gonna make my dollas holla!” a time or twon, but this right here…

      This ish right HERE…

Sweet Minty Jesus be Wigga Remova from the offices of Subway.

Let me find out the SOLE CHOCOLATE REPRESENTER at this ad agency came up with this. I will be done with my people indefinitely! My black card will be put on hiatus, because this is some nignorant a** sh*t!!!!!

Might as well put ole Abe in Blackface for the TV commercial version! I mean, he helped to free the slaves, and this is how you honor him?

Excuse me while I get Sweet Minty Jesus on the mainline and have him connect me to Dr. Martin Luther The Kang. I’m bout to march down MLK JR Blvd. in protest (in day light though because you KNOW it runs through the hood) *smh*.

Do Not Ever Want Or Need: Brandy To Do Album With Ray J.

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Oct 3, 08

      Brandy

Brandy is going to ruin her comeback by teaming with her walking STD of a brother Ray J. I just hope it turns out better than their cover of “Another Day In Paradise”:

Brandy announced today (Oct. 2) on New York radio station Hot 97 (WQHT) that she is planning on partnering with her brother Ray J for a collaborative album tentatively titled “R&B.” The title is a nod to the siblings’ respective first initials as well as their chosen style of music. (Source)

Don’t they know that this won’t work!? Unless they have some hot hot material, this is going to be Bow Wow/Omarion all over again, except without all the sexually ambiguous overtones. True story. Again, I reference their previous attempt which was a whole lot of FAIL if you ask me….

If Ray J even THINKS about picking up a microphone to “rap” I will castrate him with the ringtones receipts of “Sexy Can I”! Real talk.

“R&B” — you gotta admit, that’s so cheezy though it’s kind of cute. It DOES work, but honestly, it seems like one of those things that is GOOD IN THEORY, not in practice. Put out a mixtape on your Myspace or something. Thanks!
