Wait, so people really LIKE this song? And this is a single? Like, for real?

Am I being a hater, for real, tell me, because I think this song is wack as hell. If you can call it a song. It’s nothing but some 808 and synths with The-Dream needing to blow his nose for 5 minutes. I just DON’T understand.

And if you got a basic female that is pleased with an expensive makeup bag over having a man that spends quality time with her and not diddy-bopping with floozies in a club, then you deserve whatever you get.

This video probably looked good on paper, but even Selita Ebanks gyrating off rhythm did nothing for me. Boring visuals, boring concept — and how you going for a throwback look with modern cars and makeup bags?! LOL just doesn’t even match. The best part (and that’s a stretch) was Jason Weaver at the very beginning. T.I.’s features been on some wack lackadaisical ish and The-Dream…dude…

Rihanna Is Returning To Music…

So Rihanna (or the interns working in the “Social Media” cubicle at Def Jam) hit all the social networking sites and the internet with the word that her new album is going to release November 23rd. There’s video floating around of her doing a photoshoot overseas for her new album cover and art, but…

There’s no music, no singles, no video…just a lot of paparazzi shots.

Well, in any case, photogs around the world are taking out 2nd mortgages on their houses in anticipation of all the money they think they gonna make for snapping Rih.

Enter the Chris Brown “getting over it” song, or nipple slip, or something else. Cause Rihanna is all flash and controversy and light on music these days, but with the right pen and digital treatments, she can turn out some decent dance jams. We will see what happens…

Is that Black Friday? I need to check, though I don’t think it is…but I’m sure they will put that joint on sale during that week and that will boost her numbers…

Do You Care That Drake “Stays Strapped”?

Ever since one of ya’ll said that Drake looks like a St. Bernard dog, my perception has been skewed ROFL!

My thoughts were also tainted when I thought that he resembled Snuffaluffagus from Sesame Street.

In any case, dude has some redeeming to do after the very dismal opinions of his BET performance and that confusing-yet-visually-titillating (pun intended!) video that was “Best I Ever Had”.

Being a spokesperson for your boss’ (Lil’ Wayne) condom line (which he obviously doesn’t use him dang self) means you lost in my book. Dude could have been an independent beast and instead is 3-4 deep in the label system…

Where the groupies at to call him out!? Do women still do that!? LOL.

Dr. Dre Shills Dr. Pepper; Let’s Hope The Album Comes Out…

So we get commercials now before the album even comes out? LOL.

I’m sure he must have played a bunch of joints for them and they were like “SOLD!” But the beat is barely audible!

It may just be a few seconds of music, but Dr. Dre fans will remember the new Dr. Pepper ad as the spot where they heard the first officially released beats from the much-delayed “Detox.” The L.A.-based hip-hop producer appears in the last installment of an ad campaign entitled “Trust Me, I’m A Doctor,” and teases music from the long-awaited album, currently slated for a late 2009 release on Aftermath/Interscope. The commercial will begin airing on Monday, June 1. (Source)

I just can’t get excited by this. You could take this as either they know that the album is gonna drop soon so they are spending the money for this commercial push OR they are just taking the chance that it’s Dre and when the album drops it will be hot. Whenever it drops. If…it drops.

Whatever. Oh and those are his headphones too. So at least he might sell some more of those! LOL.

Are Janet & JD Already Married? I Doubt It…

I mean, I really don’t care. In this world of shacking up and rushing into marriage…I just hope that they are happy if they are and I am glad they didn’t give into the need to have a circus fiasco!

We know Janet is uber-private anyway, but I just refuse to believe that JD can keep a secret that big LOL. It’d be all over Youtube!

Apparently on T.I.’s show Road to Redemption, T.I. let slip that Janet was a married woman. Honestly, I think it was a slip. For all intents and purposes, she might AS WELL be married. I think that’s what T.I. meant…

On the last episode of T.Iâ€™s Road to Redemption, T.I. slipped up and said that Janet Jackson and JD are already married:

During a scene where he visited a class of elementary students, he allowed them to ask questions. Hereâ€™s how it went down:

Little boy: If you had choice between Mary J. Blige or Janet Jackson, who would you marry?

Etta James Needs Some Fiber For That Diarrhea of the Mouth

LOL I’m sure ya’ll have heard about Etta James being a bitter old bitty and going off on Beyonce’. If not, look at it here. SoulBounce has the audio as well.

My take on this?

Etta James doesn’t own a dang thing, and if memory serves correctly, I don’t think she’s ever written many songs in her lifetime either. Sure, she’s a groundbreaking vocalist and her place in history is pretty cemented. And that may be her signature song, I’ll give her that. But it’s not “HER” song.

People do covers ALL THE TIME. The fact that she came out spewing this venom is ridiculous. I’m no worshipper of Beyonce’ and even I was like, “Please don’t let Beyonce’ sing….AHHH DANG.” When it came out her mouth at the Ball, I was like, well, OK. She sure wasn’t going to sing “Survivor” LOL.

So what, did Etta call up Peggy Lee via Aunt Vivica’s Psychic Friends Network to get her take on Abeybey singing “Fever” in the “Fighting Temptations” movie/soundtrack?

I vote that we get her some cushioned panty hose so she can SAT DOWN. How disrespectful of her legacy, but not really. Etta’s always been a bad broad ROFL. Still.

Her and Auntie Ree’s Inauguration hat both need to go to time out!

I saw this over at HHU and almost lost my lunch. Are they serious? Is this album ever gonna come out? Not that I want it to, BTW.

I’d rather hear cracked out K-Ci and JoJo do renditions of their favorite love songs with a Mr. Microphone then sit through 76 minutes of these foolish nigtartlets defiling an H-Town classic.

Sweet Minty Jesus be a shelved album release!

Oh and that one that looks like Predator & Alien had a baby? LOL @ them putting him in the back in the dark and then shining a little light on his situation. Too much!

Piano-thuggin!

We all know Jon B. still around. I think he might still be eating off them Babyface checks!

However, while he claims there is no white-meat-beef (which I’m naming “pork” from here on out, get it?! LOL!!) with Robin Thicke, he does challenge him to a…piano battle!? Is this for money? Or “bragging rights” on Youtube for a hot second?

Right, ok. Well, hmm, how bout a battle to see who can sell the most ringtones first? LOL unless you John Legend, no one cares. OR, we can do a battle to see who dances the most like a YT boy, because Robin had me DYING in that “Magic” video!

Well, while Robin is battling it out playing “Chopsticks”, I will swoop in and get that fine fine FINE Paula Patton off his hands so that he can concentrate!

Choose Ne-Yo’s Next Single (If You Care!)

Ne-Yo wants you to choose his next single for him off his latest album “Year of the Gentleman”, which is close to gold certification. “Miss Independent” has grown on me, but I’m really tired of seeing that video, despite the copious amounts of eye candy. He has a poll up on his imeem page.

My vote would be for “Nobody” or “Fade Into The Background” but of course, those aren’t choices. Hmph.

PCD Final Album Cover (LOL)

LOL because REALLY, HONESTLY, I can’t see this going on for much longer unless they put out some hotter songs than “When I Grow Up”. I think I liked that song for a total of 2 days, but it just got really old, really fast. Whereas, I can listen to “Buttons” still to this day.

And lookie who’s back in the fold — Nicole Schersnapcracklepop! Welcome back! Make that money, toot that booty up and sang your 5 notes. America is waiting. *rolls eyes*

LOL @ them having their initials on their bikes. If someone can name them all, I will give you 1/10 of a $.10! GO!

I just wish the majority of them would close their mouths!!
