    • Snoop Looks Like The Scarecrow From “The Wiz” To Me…

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Jan 8, 10

Snoop Dogg steps out with a not-so-fresh press, no curl on CBS’ new show “I Get That A Lot”. Essentially well known stars “disguise” themselves as regular folks and when folks say “You look like _____”, well you get the rest.

Snoop did his turn as a parking attendant. I lol’ed hard when the dude said “He could park my car anyday!” Was that shade? Dude meant that. LOL.

I think having Snoop do this was pretty easy — they need to go for someone harder. Maybe Jamie Foxx. Or Susan Boyle. She could work at a pancake house in ATL. Or at Lane Bryant. HAHAHA.

The-Dream Channels T-Pain & Timbaland While Snoop Claims His “Gangsta Luv”

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Dec 10, 09

I really really don’t like this song, but that new Snoop Dogg album has a few joints that go OFF.

However, The-Dream was straight up channeling T-Pain with some of those vocals (off-key and all) and even some of Faheem Najeem’s dance moves + his body shape and them twitches were giving me Timbaland as well. I cannot with this song!! There are much much better songs on Snoop’s album but sadly they decided to capitalize on the fact that they had the “hot” producer on a track. Wamp.

Snoop’s Malice in Wonderland is available now and I think it’s projected to sell about 70K…dang.

Did ya’ll peep Kurupt in the background? LOL!!

Snoop Dogg + SYTYCD “Rock” Together

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Dec 3, 09

OK, this is the first Snoop Dogg song I’ve liked in a while, honestly. It makes me want to do the reject AND makes me wish I had dreads so I could slow shake ‘em to this joint, Bay style!

This pared with them dancing folks from “So You Think You Can Dance” is pretty dope. Snoop’s new record is out next week and minus all of the songs with The-Dream, it kinda go! Expect a review next week…

I’m mad he lightweight phoned this performance in, but it’s not really about him anyway — it’s about the dancers.

Do We Still “Wanna Rock” With Snoop?

Written by The IPS in Videos on Nov 26, 09

OK, this song is actually pretty decent on the scale of something where Snoop Dogg isn’t rambling and we have no clue what’s going on, which is what I feel like has been going on for the past couple of months with all the street singles and videos he’s been releasing. His latest album Malice in Wonderland comes out December 8th.

This is the 3rd single off the album, and this one may get the most traction yet. The video is actually pretty effortless but it works — it also features a cameo by Jamie Foxx. The dancing is dope, however, Snoop feels like an extra to me in his own video. I still can’t get away from the fact that he’s become a caricature of his old musical self, but maybe it’s just me.

I couldn’t even mess with that single he did with The-Dream, but this joint I wouldn’t be afraid to bang in the car. It feels West Coast but a little more current and that’s what we look to Snoop to do these days if he is still going to be making music.

New Music: N.E.R.D., Big Boi & Gucci Mane & Snoop

Written by The IPS in New Music & Reviews on Oct 13, 09

N.E.R.D. – “Soldier” Feat. Santigold [Listen + Download]

New N.E.R.D., though they’d performed this on Jimmy Fallon a month or so ago? If you haven’t heard, they’ve added a female member. Begin the comparisons to the decline of the Black Eyed Peas when they added Fergie…her name’s Rhea and I’ve actually had some of her random music for a while. She’s more along the lines of a Cassie unfortunately, so…we will see what happens. She’s fine though.

Big Boi – “Shine Blockas” Feat. Gucci Mane [Listen + Download]

I have decided that Gucci Mane is my guilty favorite lately. He raps so BASIC and it just amuses me to no end. He let’s my Bachelor’s degree be great, indeed. Anyway, this is taken from Big Boi’s yet to drop Sir Lucious Leftfoot. Gucci is the new Lil’ Wayne LOL, and he got the new teeth to prove it! DON’T BLOCK HIS SHINE! Thanks to Big Boi though…this song is hot. He’s a sorry replacement for Andre 3000 though. HA.

Snoop Dogg – “Gangsta Luv” Feat. The-Dream [Listen + Download]

I’m sorry, Snoop needs to just give up the Ghostdini. He’s the least gangsta gangsta I know. At least Ice Cube still has that gangsta scowl on his face. Snoop just looks old, tired and bored. Rapping for a check. The fact that he told The-Dream to get off the keys shows how far he’s fallen. This is an R&B track, not hip-hop. I’m just over him, and all of his music. He’s become a frail ghost of his gangsta self, and all I want for Christmas is my LaToiya Williams record. I’mma be mad at him forever about that. Period.

And do you hear these lyrics? “Beat it like Harpo”?! FOR REAL? *deletes*

Puff Puff Pass, Mini-Me! Snoop Does Spoof Heineken Spot…

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Jul 15, 09

Snoop Dogg’s Closet from Snoop Dogg

So is Snoop on the stuff again? I mean, I get so confused about WHO Snoop is, what with all his Bollywood music videos and foreign accomplishments, rehab for weed and family man TV shows.

I think Snoop is going on tour because he needs money. But…who is gonna go? I know he’s actually gonna be in my city this week/next week and someone wanted to give me a free ticket…and I will probably say no.

However, this Heineken commercial spoof is pretty funny. Snoop would have a weed closet — now, who’s the weed carrier that is gonna flip and call the DEA? Yep yep like Teddy Riley! ROFL!

Vern Troyer seems like he’d be PRETTY FUNNY to laugh at if he was high. I mean, did you see him on “The Surreal Life” when he was DRUNK? Oh my. And LOL @ Stephen Marley in there.

Snoop Didn’t Get The Memo That His Boo Was Dead In His Basement?

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Apr 10, 09

      What?!

TMZ has nothing else better to do, I swear. ROFL @ this. Snoop is too high to think that clearly.

I think Uncle Charlie did it! “Shoodoodoobiedweedumbabayyyyyyy!!”*

If this frightening incident report on the California Highway Patrol’s website is correct — which we hope it’s not — Snoop Doggy Dog “has the dead body of his wife in his basement.” Murder was the case!

At 3:19 yesterday afternoon — while Snoop was getting high live on the internet — an anonymous tipper called the CHP to alert them of the alleged heinous situation… but apparently it was so ridiculous that no one at the CHP bothered to forward it to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.

So this is either really funny… or really, really, really messed up. (Source)

      I’m going to vote no.

*Please go listen to a Gap Band song if you have no idea what that was LOL

Snoop, You Need More People! Snoop Visits The Nation…

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Mar 2, 09

      snoopnation

Snoop Dogg has opened his mouth again and wrote a check his a** couldn’t cash LOL. He claims to be the “leader of the hip-hop community”.

      *blank stare*

Rapper Snoop Dogg made an appearance Sunday at the Nation of Islam’s annual Saviours Day convention, praising Minister Louis Farrakhan and suggesting that he is a member of the movement.

Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, gave a $1,000 donation to the Nation and said he will always seek the minister out.

The rapper called himself the “leader of the hip-hop community” and said it was his first Saviours Day event. He told followers that he would share the information he gathered with other musicians. (Source)

Maybe he means the hip-hop community…in his house? In Long Beach? At E! Entertainment? Or how about on his MTV talk show with the “rapping” Paris Hilton?

I think Snoop WAS no doubt, one of the most influential rappers in hip-hop, true, but I don’t think he is the leader at large.

Snoop hasn’t been relevant really for quite some time and his attempts at crossing over and getting that Caucasialand money continue to make sure he gets an eyeroll from a LOT of people.

I love how if you read the article, they tried to call and see if Snoop was indeed a part of the Nation, and they couldn’t reach anyone. *wamp wamp*

Snoop was just trying to get some face time for that $1,000 donation he gave. T.I. was also there via video…I’m sure he was just finishing up some of his community service hours…

Snoop Dogg + Paris Hilton Freestyle = LIFEFAIL

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Feb 19, 09

Personally, Doggy Fizzle Televizzle was the shiznizzle (LOL), but this mess right here!? Please dial-my-heart up to “attack” status because Snoop is tossing his creditability (the little he had left, really) out the window faster than Beyonce’ secretly scarfs down Popeye’s two pieces!

Paris Hilton…why haven’t we shipped her off to some island already!? Her saying the word “thug” made me want to go outside and hit somebody in the throat. Just because. UGH!

Snoop, seriously, get lost in Compton again for 3 weeks. Film that and put it on MTV. We’d care more.

And really, didn’t Paris get the memo that that “-izzle” mess died like, 2 or 3 Snoop albums ago!? The things nikkas do for a check.
