Reviewed by our new film correspondent, JamTown from Wooden Nickels

We have a new reviewer at Tha Feedback! A good friend of mine JamTown, who runs her own blog for her own film project in the works at Wooden Nickels. She’s agreed to hit some of the hot upcoming films in screenings and what not for Tha Feedback as the opportunity arises. Her first foray into this is LeBron James’ movie/documentary More Than A Game, which I’m sure everyone at this point has heard of. If not, you’ve definitely heard one of the umpteen singles released from the soundtrack. There’s a heavy music presence as one of the producers of the film is music producer Harvey Mason, Jr. of The Underdogs, who’ve done work for MANY of your favorite artists.

I won’t spoil it if you haven’t seen it yet, but I thought it was drama-filled and fun and also that the casting was pretty great. I remember rumors swirling that Jennifer Hudson was going to be in this movie, but I’m glad she wasn’t. Everyone who was in it did a great job. And Sanaa? Yes ma’am, she can still get it! I loved her character, but especially when she got what was coming to her. I howled! Oh, and I didn’t know Robin had it in her LOL. No more low budget black movies for her again anytime soon maybe?

Overall, I thought it was great. Sure, Tyler isn’t going to win any screenwriting awards, LOL, but hey, it was entertaining!

Who saw it? Who’s going to see it this weekend?!

I saw it yesterday. Got a friend who worked on the movie, went and saw it with her on the movie studio’s lot.

I give it a B- because while it wasn’t terrible by any means, it wasn’t GREAT. I stan for Will Smith [|| on that] so I always support. Jason Bateman did his thing too! That Charlize Theron, see…usually, I keep it dark skinned and latte mocha all the way, but she could get it! There is one part in the movie where she kind of gets dark, dirty and sexy. Me likey. Ain’t she South African? I think that counts, right?!!?
Can’t have Mama Pop Star mad at me, I want my part of the inheritance Folger’s coffee can bank money!

What do ya’ll think? Basically, it ain’t no Independence Day. I really feel like anyone could have been in that. Will being the star REALLY didn’t make a difference either way. I don’t want to ruin it, but I will say A) stay for the credits (HAR HAR!) and B) you will probably enjoy more of the first half of the movie.
