    • Hump Day Coonery: Monica’s “Everything To Me” Never Sounded So Bad…

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Jan 26, 11

Feast your eyes and ears upon my man Izibode. Do I know him personally? No. Do I want to? ALMOST. ROFL. Because you cannot tell this dude that he isn’t doing his GOOD singing, do you hear me?

And to top it off, HE HAS 62 VIDEOS. As in, he actually recorded himself singing 62 different songs and posted them on Youtube.

I don’t know what it is — him picking up the microphone, or someone telling him to be quiet by hollering something I can’t understand…all I know is that Izibode has made my 2011 already. Reminds me of SopeHarmony’s “Buy U A Drank” cover, doesn’t it? Thanks to Marc for sending this in!

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Jan 4, 11

Jimmy Kimmel has some genius things sometimes, I swear. Not that often, but yeah.

Josh Groban singing Kanye West’s tweets was pretty awesome. LOL!

My favorite had to be “I love me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” LOL.

And don’t know who Josh Groban is? Well, 9/10 he’s outsold your favorite artists by leaps and bounds…

Friday Foolery: 50 Tyson’s Family Tree Goes Way Back, Who Knew? Check His Uncle Out!

Written by The IPS in Videos on Dec 10, 10

So this dude is a mix between Luther Vandross, Lil’ Richard, The Girl from 3LW With The Lisp, Norwood, and a dash of Bobby Jones with a splash of Full Force….

No for real, please watch this video. In its entirety [because the END is the BEST PART!]. Between the Bobby Jones sequins and the Holy Ghost shake around 1:10, I just got all my life and that more abundantly. ROFL this has started my weekend off RIGHT. I need some of whatever ole boy was CLEARLY drinking or high on to even make this video…

Shouts to my girl RedHotDiva for this. She knows me so well. Now excuse me while I go turn on some Kirk Franklin and get my spirit back together!

Sweet Minty Jesus Wept: Cheri Dennis Hops On Her iMac For Her Fan(s)

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Oct 19, 10

      http://vimeo.com/15952078

I spotted this over at Freshalina’s house, and….do I really need to say anything?

The once Bad Boy ingénue known as Cheri Dennis (or Cheri Coke if ya feeling thirstay babay) took to the internets to sing for us. Pass the Paypal offering plate if you are moved by her “TV track” that her “manager” told her to make. If her manager is anything like her hair stylist, I really want her to consider going to culinary school as a fallback.

And Cheri’s voice always perplexed me. It was like, she could sing, but she couldn’t. She sounded good but she didn’t. She was like, Cassie mixed with T-Boz with a hint of Faith Evans (because Diddy made her practice Faith’s runs and tone in the mirror or something). Poor thing. She looks like now she wants to audition for a server position at Candyland in the Mall. Blueberry Yum Yum’s helpers never sounded so good.

Coverage: The Buggles Snatch The Cat Back From Nicki Minaj & will.i.am And Cover Their Cover

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Oct 1, 10

So Nicki Minaj’s latest song (which ya’ll really fell for) samples The Buggles’ (a British band from way long ago) hit “Video Killed The Radio” that came out at the tail end of the 80′s right? They got a nice check I’m sure. So, at a recent club appearance, The Buggles (the original band from my understanding) covered the Nicki Minaj version of their song, complete with will.i.am raps and EVERYTHING.

GET YOUR LIFE HAHAHAHA. I mean, to see this old yt guy doing his best attempt at a will.i.am rap really made me LOL. He doesn’t sound any worse than will #fact.

The yt lady doing the “Oh oh oh” part should have put on a Booty Pop and POW, she would have looked like Nicki. I think Nicki has worn that catsuit before…

And get life from the dude on the Vocoder — “Check this motherf**ker out!” *wallslides*

Ne-Yo Talks About The Current State of R&B. I Scoff.

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Jul 17, 10

OK, seriously, Ne-Yo: pot, kettle, kettle, pot — have ya’ll met?

I respect what Ne-Yo has done as an artist, producer, songwriter, businessman, etc. Am I fan of his music? Cherrypicking through his catalog, sure. He has some decent songs. Most of which I feel might have done better if they were sung by others, but still, I give props where they are due.

However, with this “Beautiful Monster” foolery he has going on lately (which I would posit is NOT R&B, AT ALL), I don’t think he should be casting stones at anyone with that fragile glass house his own music is living in currently.

Now, he’s entitled to his opinion like anyone else, but the fact that he started it off by saying that Trey Songz’s voice is incredible already lets me know that he ain’t about nothing. That was Ne-Yo not shutting any doors down or burning any bridges for Trey’s NEXT record. Catch it!

I’ll be posting up Ne-Yo’s two new videos shortly — aren’t you excited? LOL.

Sorry Chris Brown, Jaden Smith Beat You To It: “12 Strands” Trailer

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Jul 14, 10

Chris Brown, never one to rest on the goodwill a good cry will give you, is starting back up the machine on his road to redemption with a trailer about a project he’s involved in called “12 Strands”. It looks to be some sort of mini-movie/trailer, with a lot of action and choreographed fight scenes. Go Go Light Skinned Ranger! [Power Rangers reference -- pimp!]

      Yes, fighting [insert joke here].

“The Karate Kid” already hit theaters Chris, and I don’t think that you want to make Jaden Smith mad! He will Jackie Chan you!

Just because you do [and I use that term loosely] a Michael Jackson tribute doesn’t mean this is Thriller. The “thriller” will be how/where/when/if this comes out. Chris Brown the smoking, fighting action star. Ask Alicia Keys how that turns out. Seen “Smoking Aces 2″? HAHAHA!

Chris Brown, good luck. You’re gonna need it homie!

I’ve BEEN Saying Trey Songz Sounds Ridiculous Forever…Affion Crockett Proves It!

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Jul 11, 10

      OK, this right here…

      This ninja RIGHT HERE…

HAHAHA I just cannot stop laughing! Why he sound just like Trey though!?

“Yuuuuup!” Please find me a nice velvet casket on this Sunday afternoon and bury me in my good Easter pastel suit! Good day!!

Affion Crockett is hilarious with these spoofs. He also did a spoof of Chris Brown’s “Deuces” video. Called it “Douche It”. I just really can’t with that one.
