    • NeNe Wants You To Know She Wasn’t Tardy for the Studio Party

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Sep 18, 09

It’s no secret — NeNe Leakes is the best part about Real Housewives of Atlanta LOL. Her off the cuff remarks, sassy personality and mouth just make the show. If you’ve even been REMOTELY watching, you’ve definitely seen the debacle known as “Tardy for the Party”. And if not, well, let me regale you.

Well, originally, NeNe was supposed to be on this song. She isn’t. And she’s been telling folks just that LOL. The episode just recently aired where Kandi has to convince to go in the booth and “sing” — I haven’t watched it yet, so don’t ruin it!

Amongst other things, NeNe is being NeNe and has ish to say. People asked her about her castmates fashion lines, if they were all “friends”, and more. My favorite line is below.

Who’s fashion show was better, Lisa’s or Sheree’s?
I never talk about these girls. I’m just going to say Gucci can’t talk about Louis, honey. [DEAD]

Oh and check what she says about Kim’s “song”:

Are you singing on Kim’s song “Tardy For The Party?”
Well it’s Kim [with] Kandi’s help. Kandi changed it from country to dance and so Kandi has a lot of beats going on in the back so you can’t really hear her … It’s not about the vocal — it’s more about the beat. When you are singing country, it is more about the voice. I can’t wait for you guys to see that episode. I think you guys are going to feel for me. “Tardy For The Party” was my song. Now she’s doing “Tardy For The Party,” and I’m not on it. I don’t care if I’m not on it.

For the rest of the interview, check out People magazine.

Lupe Fiasco Wants Fava Beans and Chianti With Climbers Please!

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Apr 20, 09

      Lupe

      Umm…just read this quote:

Understandably, hip-hopper Lupe Fiasco is “superexcited” to climb Mount Kilimanjaro this fall with Justin Timberlake and Kenna. But you may not want this particular Grammy winner to have your back should the trip take a disastrous turn. “Hell, yeah, [I’m worried!]” Fiasco told us of the 19,000-foot trek at the Converse 1Hund(RED) Artists Dinner at Aquavit. “[If things go bad out there], everybody’s dying!” he laughed. “I’ll go psychopath, freak out and murder everyone for the sake of none of us suffering! It would be like the ending of a Stephen King movie, by the time the rescue helicopter comes,” he quipped. But Timberlake fans shouldn’t worry. “I wouldn’t euthanize Justin unless he was really suffering,” Fiasco deadpanned. (Source)

      What?

Lupe and Justin are among some of the celebs who are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to bring awareness to the worldwide water crisis. Kenna is the one who came up with the idea.

Lupe, there are some thoughts you should keep to yourself. WE ARE LASERS!!!!!!!

I think he’s going to a high place to signal his mothership HA! I told ya’ll these rappers are losing it, PLEASE save them w/ the purchase of 2 ringtones and a ringback! Nah I am sure it’s just jokes, but that sound crazy as hell…

Quote of the Day from LL Cool J

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Aug 21, 08

      LL Cool J

LL Cool J premiered his new album for some industry types and tastemakers recently the NY Daily News is reporting. He apparently has a scathing new song aimed at the White House, and no, it’s not about Barack Obama LOL. It’s actually asking questions to the current administration. However, what he said at the end of the interview is what made me laugh:

The rapper didn’t stop moving once. Despite being 40, Mr. “Ladies Love Cool James” still has the abs and pecs of a 20-year-old.

      His secret?

“Start young. Always stay in the gym. It’s funny because hip hoppers age in dog-years, but I’m still young for a human, even though I’m a granddad of the rap game.” (Source)

I didn’t know hip-hoppers age in dog-years! If that’s the case then how old is THIS nikka right cheah!?

      DMX Mug Shot Collage

LOL dog-years! Get it!? I made a funny!

And apparently, X is also shopping around another reality show…lord knows he needs the money! Lord give him a sign…to take his a** to rehab!

      Rihanna’s Dog > Chris Brown

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Jun 23, 08

      Rihanna & Oliver

I’m sure this was just a ploy to throw us off the scent of her doing the horizontal krumpdance with Chris Breezy (either that or her just trying to come to grips that he’s got other hoes besides her!), but this lil’ quote of hers had me DYING:

THINGS aren’t so serious between Rihanna and soulful singer Chris Brown. The “Umbrella” songbird, who’s been dating Brown for six months, showed up the other night at the Empire State Building to kick off Cartier’s annual Love Day charity drive, and told our spies, “I’m not in love right now. But I do want to get married.” As for what she missed most on her recently wrapped tour with Kanye West, she said, “My dog, Oliver.” (Source)

Ouch. Well, that dog IS cute!

Chris actually visited her on a bunch of the tour stops, and I even think performed their “duet” of “Umbrella” with Chris’ version being titled “Cinderella”. So I am sure she DIDN’T miss him.

But like she said, Rihanna don’t love them hoes. You be chasing them, while she’s replacing them, cause baby’s she’s pimpin!

What Would She Do For A Klondike Bar?

Written by The IPS in Blogs on May 16, 08

      Star Jones

I’ve never seen this “The Bad Girls Club” show, but I caught this quote that had me dying!

NOW svelte Star Jones has a sense of humor about her plumper, former self. Jones recently hosted a taping of “The Bad Girls Club” reunion special, in which one bad girl accused another of being “a cheeseburger away from being obese.” “A huge fight ensued, bodyguards had to come onstage, and Star had overheard the comment,” said an insider. “When they returned from a commercial, Star joked, ‘If I punched every bitch who called me fat, it would be dead bitches all up and down the highway.’ ” The reunion episode airs Tuesday on Oxygen. (Source)

Yeah it’s all jokes now, but when Alicia Starkeisha starts telling folks the business about what’s in Star’s refrigerator and her unlimited Arch Card from the local McDonalds, it’s gonna go down Terry McMillan style!

But LOL @ Star being hood-ish. Hearing Star Jones say “dead bitches” is enough for me to tune in and see what this show is about! Her and that news reporter need to gang up on Barbara Walters, that jezebel!

I think that “dead bitches” comment was targeted to Al — you know he called her all kinds of fat names when they argued about who was going to pay the spa bill! “I hate you Bertha Mae!”

Lil Wayne & Juanita Bynum Should Tag Team!

Written by The IPS in Blogs on May 15, 08

      Lil' Wayne

Let me find out The Chocolate Goblin is trying to get in on that Paul & Jan TBN money!

Lil Wayne has spoken. According to the Mayan prophecies that he’s been studying during down time on his tour bus, the world as we know it will cease to exist in four years. He tells Blender magazine: “The world is about to end in 2012… ’cause the Mayans made calendars, and they stop at 2012. I got encyclopedias on the bus. The world is about to end as we know it. You can see it already. A planet doesn’t exist – there’s no more Pluto. Planes are flying into buildings – and not just the Twin Towers. Mosquitos bite you and you die. And a black man and a woman are running for president.” (Source)

      HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *cougs up lung*

Well, when we told our people to go “R-E-A-D-A-B-O-O-K!”, I guess Lil Wayne got drunk off of some syrup and got lost in a Borders. I didn’t think he’d go from “Green Eggs & Ham” to Mayan Theology. Baby steps Wayne, baby steps! Someone sit this fool down! If he was a regular person like your brother or cousin, he’d be the one with the helmet who they only let out the room for family holidays and gatherings, ugh.

I think Juanita Bynum and Lil Wayne should crank that TV evangelist money! I could see it now — Wayne getting his prophecy on like the crazy hood preacher and Juanita spinning in her chair Rev. Alicia style speaking in tongues! Can we add this lady and her singing group as well?
