    • Zo! & Phonte Re-Interpret “Return Of The Mack” And It’s FUNNY!

Written by The IPS in New Music & Reviews on Apr 19, 11

Zo! and Phonte of Foreign Exchange are at it again as Zo and Tigallo, cutting up in the studio and having a good time. While this isn’t from a “Love The 90′s” EP (like we hope they will make after the excellent “Love The 80′s” EP), it’s just as funny and random. They sent it out last week after fooling around in the studio. Phonte’s singing (PLEASE listen to the ad-libs he is doing) will have you in stitches, and the allusions to the Based God alone are funny as well. Good times in the studio, and good laughs for us!

Hump Day Coonery: Monica’s “Everything To Me” Never Sounded So Bad…

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Jan 26, 11

Feast your eyes and ears upon my man Izibode. Do I know him personally? No. Do I want to? ALMOST. ROFL. Because you cannot tell this dude that he isn’t doing his GOOD singing, do you hear me?

And to top it off, HE HAS 62 VIDEOS. As in, he actually recorded himself singing 62 different songs and posted them on Youtube.

I don’t know what it is — him picking up the microphone, or someone telling him to be quiet by hollering something I can’t understand…all I know is that Izibode has made my 2011 already. Reminds me of SopeHarmony’s “Buy U A Drank” cover, doesn’t it? Thanks to Marc for sending this in!

Josh Groban Does Kanye West Tweets; I Laugh!

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Jan 4, 11

Jimmy Kimmel has some genius things sometimes, I swear. Not that often, but yeah.

Josh Groban singing Kanye West’s tweets was pretty awesome. LOL!

My favorite had to be “I love me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” LOL.

And don’t know who Josh Groban is? Well, 9/10 he’s outsold your favorite artists by leaps and bounds…

Duncan Hines Should Have Consulted Uncle Ben & Aunt Jemima About This Commercial…

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Dec 15, 10

I have to admit, I saw this commercial come on late last night, and I was like, “Wait, what, umm, what is going on here!?” But when the white cupcake without the glaze on it started singing like Keyshia Cole, I DIED. And then they added the glaze, and it was all good.

However, my first thought was not “this is racist!” Sure, now that someone has made the allegation that this might be considered “blackface”, I can see it. But my first inclination was to laugh at it musically after I figured out what was going on in the first place. Did you peep the bottle lighting up? LOL, I mean, we could make this “deep” if we wanted to, or maybe I am not deep enough, but I don’t know…

Duncan Hines, a company known for a slew of wholesome baking products, has come under attack for airing a commercialon YouTube that featured what many term as “black face” cupcakes.

Just in time for the holiday baking season, Duncan Hines released a new icing line, Amazing Glazes. With the release came a new group of commercials produced by film company Filmaka for Duncan Hines to place on YouTube. “Hip Hop Cupcakes,” the ad that’s now under fire, has vanilla cupcakes that grow googly eyes and large lips when chocolate icing is place on them.

The commercial has been archived by The Huffington Post . The website explained, “The ad features animated vanilla cupcakes. When the unidentified woman in the ad starts putting the chocolate glaze on them, they begin to sing and beatbox.” (Source)

Lionel Richie: Paying Rent By Any Means Necessary! Funny Commercial Alert!

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Sep 1, 10

I don’t know what Walkers Extra Crunchy even is, but this commercial?! I absolutely cannot!!

Lionel Richie still is doing his good singing though, but I got to say, I had a certain feeling of satisfaction seeing him get tossed through a window onto his behind ROFL.

I feel like that blind woman from the “Hello” video finally got her justice!

If he had stole that chip from a Black man, Lionel’s lips would have been deflated from that mouth getting popped real quick like! HA!

This LMFAO Video Has A Surprise Guest That Had Me Saying “Yes”!

Written by The IPS in Videos on Jul 23, 10

I’m going to admit that outside of “Shots”, I’d never really been up on LMFAO’s music like that. But this came across the wire on this fine Friday morning and since I had nothing else to do, I gave it a spin.

And it was actually FUNNY. Randomly funny, but funny!

LMFAO star as a team in the 2010 Broom Cup finals, featuring Simon Rex AKA Dirt Nasty as one of the announcers. Wow. Check this out, watch the whole thing if you can, you will chuckle a time or two. It’s a slow Friday…what can I say!? Their brand of irreverent party music has garnered them a lot of dancefloor creditability, so you can’t knock the hustle…

I’ve BEEN Saying Trey Songz Sounds Ridiculous Forever…Affion Crockett Proves It!

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Jul 11, 10

      OK, this right here…

      This ninja RIGHT HERE…

HAHAHA I just cannot stop laughing! Why he sound just like Trey though!?

“Yuuuuup!” Please find me a nice velvet casket on this Sunday afternoon and bury me in my good Easter pastel suit! Good day!!

Affion Crockett is hilarious with these spoofs. He also did a spoof of Chris Brown’s “Deuces” video. Called it “Douche It”. I just really can’t with that one.

Scarlet (Letter) Takes A Tumble, Part 2 — Alicia Keys Edition

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Jul 4, 10

I’m just glad this wasn’t at the BET Awards — ya’ll know she hopped up onto that piano for Prince and I thought she was gonna pull a Grace Jones from “Boomerang” and start bottling up and selling “Afterbirth” at Macy’s everywhere LOL.

Alicia Keys (and pretty much everyone else in the world) was performing at the Essence Music Festival this weekend and slipped up, but luckily, and like a true pro and/or Donnie McClurkin fan, she fell down but she got back up again.

I hope she’s okay and the baby is ok and that the only thing wounded was her pride and…and a vocal chord! GO AWAY!

      Note: The Scarlet Letter

YT Folks Shenanigans: Weatherman “Freestyles” Over “Roger That”…

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Jun 3, 10

So, ummm, who is planning my funeral? I’d like Lil’ Wayne to deliver the eulogy and please have Drake sing “Going Up Yonder” with Auto-Tune set on the highest level as possible so Nicki Minaj can do the “Robot” down the aisle and around my casket. I just can’t!

The sad part is, he was actually going IN with this LOL. Watch Baby AKA Birdman try to sign him and put him on a track with Jay Sean…

“Can You Sing Like A Robot”? Kanye + Cleveland Can!

Written by The IPS in Blogs on May 3, 10

Yo, I’ve watched “The Cleveland Show” one time when it first came out, but I’ve yet to watch it again. However, Kanye West dropped in for a guest appearance and he got into a rap battle with Cleveland, Jr. ROFL @ these fools rapping in KLINGON. Yes, I’m a nerd. One of my favorite shows ever is “Star Trek: The Next Generation”. Don’t judge me. It’s a long story.

Did you see the whole episode? Do you watch this show? “The Boondocks” also premiered again last night! Got that on the Tivo…
