Concert Review: Jordin Sparks’ “Battlefield Tour 2010″ Hits Hard, Fast & Well!

First off, let me say that Jordin tweeted me. Thanks! Now that THAT’S out of the way…

I got the chance to go to Jordin Spark’s “Battlefield Tour 2010″ last night (7/6) here in Portland, OR. FINALLY something comes through that I really wanted to be at!

So I sat aside the homework, pulled out the camera, and got to work. Overall — if this tour is coming to your city, I suggest you get a ticket right now! Jordin did not miss nary a note! Her vocal performance was strong and pretty spectacular overall. It was my first time seeing her live after listening to and digesting so much of her music via Idol, TV, radio, and more, and I was NOT let down at all. Hit the jump for the rest of my review!

The Foreign Exchange performing “Nic’s Groove” at Someday Lounge in Portland, OR

I got the opportunity to go out and experience The Foreign Exchange live and up close on September 11th, 2009 in Portland, OR at the venue the Someday Lounge. Thanks to the Foreign Exchange Music umbrella for their putting me on, and to my girl Butta at Soul Bounce as well!

Live Performance: Smokey Robinson Does Jimmy Fallon + Event Recap

I had the chance to see Smokey Robinson in an intimate setting a few weeks ago when I was in Los Angeles, and let me tell you, it was AMAZING. But more about that after the jump!

Smokey Robinson has a new album out and it’s called “Time Flies When You’re Having Fun” — the fun being his music and how time has flown by so quickly while he’s been doing it for so many, many years.

He does his classic song “Tears of a Clown” backed by the awesomeness that is The Roots. If you haven’t checked out his version of the Norah Jones classic “Don’t Know Why”, you should as well.
