    • Cassie’s A Few Cards Short Of A Full Deck In “King Of Hearts”

Written by The IPS in Videos on Feb 14, 12

It probably made sense for Cassie to take the dance route. It’s all the rage, she’s not a belter, she’s pretty, the gay clubs might like it, blah blah blah. No-brainer, right?

This song is boring. Cassie’s vocal is boring. The video is boring. She is boring. I’m bored.

Sure, Cassie’s good to look at. But really, we’ve been LOOKING at her for quite a while now. Aren’t we supposed to be listening to her? Am I the only one listening?

This is the music biz, and as of now, Cassie is the only woman that is publicly signed to Bad Boy. If this is who Diddy is hedging his bets on, then I just don’t know.

But it’ll probably pick up steam overseas, Cassie will move, and then we won’t have to worry about her. I’d be okay with that.

If we’re doing dance vocals, I’ll take Jennifer Hudson on a David Guetta track, Kelly Rowland over an Alex Gaudino track, or even Alexis Jordan’s “Happiness”. Fail Cassie. Fail.

Mary J. Blige Comes Back With Her “Someone To Love Me (Naked)” Flip

Written by The IPS in Videos on Apr 4, 11

Mary J. Blige takes Diddy-Dirty Money’s “Someone To Love Me” and flips it, re-singing the hook and adding her own verses, and also adds a new verse from Lil’ Wayne. Diddy just keeps his same terrible verse….fail. Wayne actually kind of went off on this verse of his, I liked it. I wish Diddy would have gone in and written a better verse since you’d think he wouldn’t want to look so terrible sharing a song with Lil’ Wayne. Clearly not.

Mary bops around as only Mary can throughout the video with some “fashion” and a new ponytail to boot. Mary looks great though, and I’m interested in hearing what new music she is about to deliver to the people. Her new album My Life II: The Journey Continues will be out September this year!

That big old eye looking through the mirror was kind of strange though!

Dirty Money Wants “Your Love” And Your $$; Recession Says No Over Here….

Written by The IPS in Videos on Mar 31, 11

The only reason I tolerate this song is to hear Dawn Richard say “Let your tongue walk on this p****”. OMG it always makes me laugh SO MUCH. I remember the first time I heard it, I was like, WAIT, HOLD UP SELECTOR, REEEEEEEWIND! Trey Songz holler-singing is too much for me, Diddy doesn’t rap about anything as usual, and Rick Ross‘ verses aren’t actually all that terrible of an addition.

If Dirty Money was just Dawn & Kaleena, I’d probably care more. I actually listen to the music on Last Train To Paris quite often, and I just FFWD Diddy’s parts.

Diddy loves him some warehouses and *insert random hot women here*. There’s so many things he could have done with this video though, but I feel like it exemplifies how on auto-pilot his music career is.

Diddy Is All Flash And No Substance In “Idol” Performance of “Coming Home”

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Mar 11, 11

I honestly detest this song and it’s faux sense of repentance. Diddy’s asinine verses infuriate me even more, and further drives home the point that the Dirty Money Last Train To Paris album is simply a vehicle for his mediocre musical/rapping talent to be wrapped around more talented people such as Dawn and the associated writers and producers that worked on it.

This is just simply illustrated by Skylar Grey’s awesome opening and Dawn’s singing throughout. I feel however that the song degenerated into an oversung, overwrought, and overly exaggerated ending. It was too much all going on at the same time — what with Diddy’s montage, Dawn & Kaleena fighting over the mic, and Skylar’s warbling from the piano. Add in the pyro at the end, and it’s clear to me while the album hasn’t been nearly as successful as heads thought it would be.

And Diddy and J. Lo together again? Ha!

Diddy & Dirty Money “Hate” That We Love Them. Oh. We Do?

Written by The IPS in Videos on Feb 7, 11

Diddy & Dirty Money and all these videos but this album still hasn’t even cracked 200K yet, despite their best efforts. “Hate That You Love Me” is actually one that I liked off of Last Train To Paris, but again, I stand by my original critique that it would be so much better SANS Diddy.

This video, however, looks like it came right from the trash can of a rejected White Stripes treatment idea session. And when Diddy starts playing the tambourine at around 1:49, I just about had had enough. Or even the fact that he was “playing” the piano from jump! This facade must end. Give Dawn her free. LOL.

Album Review: Diddy-Dirty Money’s “Last Train To Paris” Is Overcapacity By One — Diddy

Written by The IPS in New Music & Reviews on Dec 22, 10

Diddy-Dirty Money – Last Train To Paris
      3 stars out of 5

Diddy’s greatest enemy, and at the same time greatest attribute, is himself.

This has never been exemplified so fully on any of his other albums than on Last Train To Paris, his latest album under the moniker of Diddy-Dirty Money, which he just released with the aid of ex-Danity Kane member Dawn Richards, and seemingly unknown singer/songwriter Kalenna. Dirty Money’s name I’m sure has some long drawn out explanation which we don’t care about; however, it’s been more interesting seeing all the puns derived from their name than it has been to actually hear all their singles.

Everybody Get Your “Azz On The Floor” And…Sweep Up This Snow? OK Diddy-Dirty Money….

Written by The IPS in Videos on Dec 12, 10

      Total 2011.

      I just…don’t get it.

OK maybe the beat is coo, but Swizzy just continues to recycle his brand of boom-bap for the hip-hop brainwashed masses and A&R’s. Diddy still can’t rap. And Diddy felt bad for that “Someone To Love” video and taking all the shine from the girls, so he let them get some shine. Swizz’s appearance is really extraneous.

It’s snowing. They are saying get your ass on the floor, but is this a mid-tempo ballad with a dance remix? I mean, I am just confused.

      It’s snowing.

Swizz Beatz is wearing a fur scarf?

Dawn & Kaleena look like Black African Amazonian super heroines looking to save Diddy from his own underwhelming talent. Ya’ll please come explain in the comments what I am missing. I think I overslept and the taxi driver took me to the wrong station and I missed this train…

Diddy Is Searching For “Someone To Love”, While Dirty Money Struggle To Find The Spotlight In This Video

Written by The IPS in Videos on Dec 10, 10

I am still going with my original assessment that Diddy-Dirty Money would be much more palatable without Diddy! It’s clear that this is a vanity project for Diddy, but then he had this “bright” idea to make it “different” and create the illusion that his ego wasn’t bigger than his rhyming talent was, so he added two chicks for eye candy and then called it a group. Well, 1/2 of that eye candy idea panned out…

I mean, this beat is kind of FRESH. A real rapper would kill this. This needs J. Cole. And the Diddy Bops are just reduced to walking down the street, sticking out like sore thumbs as the real models walk around in the background.

I mean, JUST LISTEN TO DIDDY’S RAPS! Please. I implore you. And everyone is RAVING over this album. I have a feeling all I will want are the instrumentals, and you can leave Dawn’s backs on.

Last Train to Paris is out December 14th.

Diddy-Dirty Money Pull Their Greyhound Bus Into The French Cafe In Harlem on SNL

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Dec 6, 10

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=cuKawPfHnXI

Diddy-Dirty Money performed the songs “Coming Home” and “Ass On The Floor” from their upcoming album Last Train To Paris, due out December 14th, on Saturday Night Live this past weekend.

Like I said on Twitter, basically, this was a mess. DO I EVEN REALLY NEED TO SAY ANYTHING!? LOL.

The background singers were dancing harder than the background dancers! Dawn, poor thing, I think she prolly gets 2x the rate that Kaleena does under the table, cause she does ALL the heavy lifting. Kaleena looks like someone Diddy was keeping in the basement as a replacement for one of the girls from Total if they ever got back together. Diddy himself looks and sounds a clown, and his lyrics are as likeable as the IRS knocking on your door after you win the $500 Powerball.

I don’t like these songs, and I need Swizz Beatz to get saved for real and maybe take some classical training, cause I’m tired of his repetitiveness. I’m tired of Diddy’s smoke machine. I’m tired of stupid songs and people making albums for tax writeoffs. I’m tired of Bad Boy Records being a ponzi scheme for Diddy’s paying of his Sean John models — Cassie and Nelly. I’m just TIRED like Kelly Price!

It was almost funny as Diddy tweeting something about “cirok” — I mean, you are the spokesperson for the company, and you can’t spell it right?! UGH!!

Check out “Ass On The Floor” (I mean, REALLY!?) after the jump….

The Amount Of People Caring About This Dirty Money CD Looks Like This Video’s Shoot Location…

Written by The IPS in Videos on Nov 30, 10

      Guest post by CristalBubblin

Helicopters, black leather, & smoke – OH MY… how boring.

As if the song wasn’t terrible enough, this video offering from PapaDiddyPuff, Dawn, & The Other Girl Who Is Not Dawn (TOGWIND) is very uneventful.

I’ll get deep tho because you guys like that stuff.

We see Diddy walking across the desert; a metaphor, if you will, for how desolate life is as a multi-millionaire mogul. During his trek he passes burned remains of televisions, speakers, and bars and emotes while sitting in what’s left of a house which probably represents the years of partying and not settling down with Misa… No J.Lo…No Kim… No CASSIE!! Ok so that’s just a NO.

#AnywayDoe, Dawn & TOGWIND walk behind Diddy singing the hook which basically represents their lives. Diddy finishes with a triumphant final verse — which includes a shout out to the Notorious B.I.G. — in plumes of colorful smoke which I’m sure represent optimism or his return to his loved ones or some positive sh*t *shrugs*. He then hops in a helicopter where Dawn & TOGWIND are waiting and he flies away.

To where? We may never know but my guess is back to the arms of the woman he truly loved Misa…No J. Lo… No Kim… CASS…his mama Janice Combs. The end.
