    • Diddy Invented, And Still Needs, The Remix. “Hello Good Morning” Remix…

Written by The IPS in Videos on Jun 21, 10

I’ve come to the conclusion that Dirty Money is nothing but Diddy being bored and having money to blow. Because was this video really NECESSARY though?

Rick Ross does his bit just fine, but seriously, Nicki Minaj with that wig and these faces and that ODB line…and I just…yeah.

Diddy, I’m gonna stow-away on the last train to Paris in the luggage compartment because I refuse to pay for this!

Nicki Minaj went to the BACK of the crayon box for that wig color too AHHAHA. And I wonder what Dawn’s backup plan is — we know Que’s is singing background…for her…and Dirty Money…oy vey…

Diddy and Dirty Money Grind My Coffee Beans With “Hello, Good Morning” In The UK

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Jun 14, 10

Diddy, Dawn and Kaleena stopped through the UK to hit up the “Jonathan Ross Show” and I’m sure the Brits just loved it! However –

      A) I still can’t believe that they are calling themselves “Diddy-Dirty Money” — that is just ridiculous.
      B) This performance was all over the place and the lip-syncing was terrible!
      C) This song goes kind of hard in the club, but they shouldn’t perform it live ever.
      D) Diddy looks a fool with that grill! I think he’s having a midlife crisis…

This album has been pushed back again…I see why. I feel like Diddy is trying to create this fantasy world that he feels we should WANT to be a part of with Last Train to Paris, but…we aren’t buying tickets because we don’t care for the price of admission LOL.

Diddy’s “Hello Good Morning” Is Boombastic Like The 4th of July

Written by The IPS in Videos on May 13, 10

Hype Williams uses fireworks and aerial shots to rip off another artists’ production budget with this “Hello Good Morning” video LOL. He is still getting to the money, alright, I’m not mad I guess!

I will say that “Hello Good Morning” has grown on me, but I will still contend that it would be better minus Diddy and with just Dawn. Dirty Money is really looking like a failed ego experiment gone wrong. At first it was Dirty Money, now it’s Diddy & Dirty Money, and Dawn & Kaleena look bored and uninterested the first 3 minutes of this video, I promise you.

Rick Ross and T.I. make their cameos as well. Again, nothing spectacular to see her. This video has visions of grandeur but comes across as flat to me. The song is lively indeed, but I feel like in order for it to be totally danceable and more crossover, the majority of these rhymes could have been left out, you know?

Last Train to Paris is due June 29th, and while initially it seemed Diddy was wanting to be more abstract and make us dance, I feel like the album will be another regular album. How far off is this song from “Come to Me” with Nicole Scherzinger from the last album? Kick up the BPM’s and add some auto-tune…I’m just saying.

Diddy Has A Grill. A Lower One At That. WHY COME!?

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Apr 6, 10

Diddy has too much money and has been around too long to resort to this.

This is the commercial that “Diddy-Dirty Money” (why the dash now, is that supposed to separate him from this train wreck just in case…) shot for the Final Four for NCAA basketball.

I really really am sticking to my guns on this one thing — I think Dawn should be the frontperson for this “experiment”, Diddy should twiddle his thumbs and gnash his teeth/grill, and Kaleena should…I don’t know, ain’t she a songwriter? Ghost vocals? Stylists? Weed carrier? Something.

“Hello, Good Morning” does kinda knock though — again, no vox would be better and if any, just Dawn’s. My $.02.

There’s A Lot Of Chinchilla In This “O Let’s Do It” Remix; Where’s PETA?

Written by The IPS in Videos on Apr 2, 10

Why couldn’t PETA come shut this shoot down? Kill a video shoot, save a rodent somewhere. Cause Rick Ross’ chinchilla (which I’m sure he pronounces ‘chimichanga’) alone is about 10 of them bad boys *no Diddy*.

Wacka Flocka Flame has been shot, given diseases by groupies, has racoon eye syndrome, looks like a lemur and STILL keeps on ticking. Trap music never dies! This song has been around forever, and I still have yet to hear what a Wacka Flocka Flame is, though I tried for 3 minutes one time to care enough to do some research and I just realized I had real bills to play.

You know it’s a mandown code 10 situation when Diddy sounds the best on a remix. Yeah. Day 26 got left at home to polish Diddy’s MTV Awards.

Ready to hit the Rex X up there? “O let’s do it!” 3-2-1…

Trina’s A “Million Dollar Girl” With The Help of Diddy & Keri

Written by The IPS in Videos on Mar 15, 10

Meh, I promise you I hadn’t heard this song until just now. Has this been out for a minute? Is radio playing this? It’s overly sugary for a hip-hop song, and Diddy’s even less believable than Trina on his verses (where is Trick Daddy or SOMEONE!?). Keri Hilson isn’t working hard at all either, but I still feel like she slightly overpowers this track.

I love how Trina is still rapping about the same things 5-10 years later. Hasn’t she been through hard times? Grown as an individual? LOL, cause pink Porsches and that costume jewelry…she needs more people. I think what was overly distracting were her and Keri’s hair choices. Now, Keri’s hair always looks like that, but Trina with that baby hair and them lacefront hairlines…

We gots to do better, hair-wise and lyrics-wise. Trina does look great though and I’m glad she’s kept her look together. But as far as rapping…she’s going to have to come a lot harder. This song feels dated, flat and seems like it doesn’t/won’t have much longevity…

Dirty Money & Louboutins For Sale, Cheap! Diddy & J. Lo Are Equally Terrible These Days…

Diddy – “They Don’t Love Me” [Listen & Download]

There’s a new Diddy song that is just unacceptable in the canon of what is known as pop music. It’s called “They Don’t Love Me” — and yes, you are right. WE DON’T! What is this mess!? There’s only so much that autotune can do and Diddy is stressing the outer limits on a daily basis with “Angels” and now this song. Is it safe to say that Dirty Money record is going to be pretty dang awful? I thinks so. I hope Dawn & Kaleena are ready to do Gospel plays with Cheri Dennis cause…yeah. The-Dream wants his schtick back. And I want the headache I just got to return back to hell from whence it came!

I hope this is a demo. “Love Come Down” actually grew on me though.

Jennifer Lopez was booked for SNL long before her album was shelved and her latest movie was pushed back, but yet and still, she went anyway. And she performed two new songs — “Starting Over” and “Pieces”. “Pieces” is above and yo, this sh*t is TERRIBLE. Pure and simple, she sounded a mess.

Put on some red bottoms and twerk cause that’s all we care about. OMG, she is flat, sharp, pointy, level to the ground and everything else! LOL I laughed, I just couldn’t even help it. OF COURSE her album was shelved — if she brought me this and I was  the head of the label, she’d get the SEOD too. Acoustic and/or band assisted ballads are NOT her forte. Marc Anthony ain’t helped out his wife in the vocal department?

I bet the neighbors know her name — from her praticing her scales 4x a week with the twins of hers singing along AKA crying cause mommy is hurting them. I can’t.

Today In Hip-Hop; Lupe, The Bangz, Consequnce/Lox/Diddy & More

Written by The IPS in New Music & Reviews,Videos on Jan 14, 10

The Bangz – “Found My Swag” (Featuring New Boyz)

OK, now see, I kinda like The Bangz. New Boys? Not so much. I mean, the light-skinned one Legacy said “Budden in like Joe”, as in, butting in. I cannot!

One of The Bangz was shot, Ella Ann, was shot last year and had been in serious condition, hence her being represented by her image on the TV’s. The remaining female MC, Sabi, is actually way more interesting than Nicki Minaj. Her “half-breed…half-Black/half bad b*tch” line was kinda dope. That’s just me. What ya’ll think? Call it the West Coast in me, but I like ‘em! The New Boys can go back to Hot Topic with all that.

Lupe Fiasco, Consequence and more after the jump!

Even If They’re $Free.99, I Usually Stay Away From Stars’ Wares. Here’s Why!

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Nov 24, 09

Diddy’s cologne & 50 Cent’s condoms aren’t on my Christmas list. Re-gifting game proper if someone gives them to me for Christmas!

Diddy has signed on with the Home Shopping Network to sell his colognes live on the air — I Am King and Unforgivable. They built him his own set. I hope he calls Tina Knowles for some tips and he brings mama Janice Combs on with him to help. I can only IMAGINE the hilarity that would ensue from that. Outside of the fact that you know, you need to SMELL the cologne to actually see if you like it AND if it works with your body chemistry. Did they invent Smell-O-Vision and no one told me, Diddy?

Oh and did I mention they are also creating a talk-show like set for him for his 2 hour show? Hmm, hopefully this is as close as we get to hearing Diddy breathe heavy into a mic outside of “Making The _____” on MTV. Tyra is enough! Thanks!

From hip hop to home shopping! Media and design mogul Diddy has just announced that he’s heading to HSN to debut his best-selling fragrances I Am King and Unforgivable on the network. WWD reports that the Home Shopping Network has already built Diddy his own special living-room-style set in St. Petersburg, Fla. from which he’ll host a two-hour talk-show-like program selling the scents live. Fragrance fans can tune in on Nov. 30 from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. to watch Diddy’s show. (Source)

And 50 Cent, he of the many side hustles that generally do better than his MAIN hustle, had a condom line that he was trying to promote. Unfortunately, the condoms weren’t viable. Did I mention he was trying to add his own version of Extenze TO the condom? No. Oh yeah. Well, there ya go. Better get that nut before your condom self-destructs (like his record sales) ROFL!

50 Cent admits he wanted to enhance users’ sexual pleasure at the same time by adding chemicals to the condom to boost men’s performance – but his idea failed because scientists couldn’t come up with a viable solution. (Source)

I’ll stick with my K-Mart layway. Thanks!

Dirty Money & Diddy Get Remixed To Make Us Care, But Do We?

Dirty Money – “Love Come Down” (Remix) Feat. Jim Jones, Fabolous & Red Cafe [Listen + Download]

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Dirty Money – “Angels” (Remix) Feat. Rick Ross [Listen + Download]

So, Dirty Money’s singles I feel have largely fallen on deaf and uncaring ears. The videos have been head-scratching and expensive but with no big promotional returns. And I feel like the only ones who promote Dirty Money on Twitter are….Dirty Money (and Que cause Dawn’s his boo).

      Time for remixes!

Remember when remixes actually had different beats and/or were essentially new songs? Yeah no more.

On the “Love Come Down” remix, not much has changed, including Kaleena’s slightly off sounding caterwaul at the beginning. Best verse goes to Fabolous. I like Red Cafe’s voice — it just has this menacing sneer to it. I hope Diddy actually gets an album out on him with some good music…not holding my breath. Jim Jones is just…why!? The only thing more annoying than hearing Diddy say “take that take that” is to hear JIM JONES saying it.

Rick Ross tacks on some unnecessary bars to the “Angels” remix and any hotness that he may have drop will be always and forever negated by Diddy’s auto-tuned plaintive wailing. I just CANNOT. It’s actually not a bad beat for Bawse to rock over, but his verse was just wamp-worthy.

Just give Dawn free and give her all these tracks and let her do her solo joint PLEASE.
