    • Cee Lo Green’s “F**k You” Video Is Laced With Expletives & A Fun Visual

Written by The IPS in Videos on Sep 1, 10

      F**K YOU…AND F**K HER TOO!

I’m sorry, this song right here is my ish HAHAHA. I sing it all the time. The non-edited version. LOL yes, don’t judge me.

And the video is perfect! Cee Lo Green is the Soul Machine, even though this Bruno Mars-produced song does sound like something he’d be singing. But I ain’t even mad, because it’s dope and Cee Lo works it.

Man, this echoes my sentiments on so many levels right now. EFFFFFFFF YOUUUUUUUUUUU!

Cee Lo’s Latest Song Sums Up Many of My Mondays! “F**k You” Is Awesome!

Written by The IPS in New Music & Reviews on Aug 23, 10

Cee Lo Green FOR THE WIN! The Soul Machine is back and he is better than ever. He hits us with a sneak peek of his new single “F*** You” from his  upcoming album The Lady Killer. It’s due out October 4th here in the US and abroad, and I got to say, Cee-Lo is one of my favorite vocalists. He doesn’t disappoint on this latest release with these catchy lyrics (splashed all over the screen for your perusal) and effortless vocal. Magic is going to happen hopefully on the 4th of October LOL.

Doesn’t Faith Evans’ Something About Faith drop that month too? Excited.

Cee-Lo Wades In The Water In “What Part Of Forever”

Written by The IPS in Videos on Jul 29, 10

This song hasn’t really jumped to the top of my favorites list like most Cee-Lo Green songs do, however, maybe in the context of the most recent Twilight movie that it comes from, it makes more sense?

I haven’t seen it, so ya’ll have to tell me LOL.

In any case, I’m a Cee-Lo fan. So I don’t hate it, but you know, it wouldn’t be on my iPod shuffling too much.

Bruno Mars Has Many Sides And Is Waiting On “The Other Side” Until We Get It

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Jul 17, 10

I like this song, though I wonder how Bruno Mars would sound singing this song on tour night after night cause it’s PRETTY high UP there. Cee-Lo’s voice sounds a bit more comfortable to me, and in the pocket, than Bruno’s. But I do like this song and the lyrics. I could have done without B.o.B., I don’t feel like he adds anything to the song that is worth living for.

The video seems to be more of a mini-documentary. And cheap LOL, considering this song is from his EP It’s Better If You Don’t Understand. Big budgets aren’t coming his way yet, and I think Atlantic is testing the water with his EP to see if people will bite and catch out outside of him being a hook singer. But he’s more than that — he has many sides and you can see that from this video too. He goes through a photoshoot and different looks, interactions, and emotions with his crew, piano, music, and alone. No Cee-Lo, but clearly this is all supposed to be about Bruno.

New Music: Eminem, Janelle Monae, Cee-Lo, Stanza, & Slum Village

Written by The IPS in New Music & Reviews on Jun 3, 10

Eminem – “Won’t Back Down” Feat. P!nk [Download]

Wow, this joint leaked today and all I am gonna say is Eminem said:

“Shake that a** like a donkey with Parkinsons / Make like Michael J. Fox is in ya draws playing with an Etch-A-Sketch” — BEST LINE EVER! This lyrics on this song is bananas. I have listened to it 5x times already LOL. And I’m always down for Pink, obviously. Recovery in stores June 22nd.

Janelle Monae – “Tightrope” (Wondamix) Feat. B.o.B. & Lupe Fiasco [Download]

This joint goes! Janelle Monae even spits a few bars — I think she might want to stick to James Brown shuffling but I can dig it LOL! Lupe! B.o.B. is on here too.  I’m still jamming this album, my Last.fm tells the tale. I like the music change too. Go get that The ArchAndroid album now — she is quickly falling down the charts…

      More after the jump…

Bruno Mars Strikes Up The Band On His Own On “The Other Side”

Written by The IPS in New Music & Reviews on May 6, 10

Bruno Mars – “The Other Side” Feat. Cee-Lo & B.o.B. [Listen & Download]

Bruno Mars is EVERYWHERE lately — with about 2-3 hit songs on the charts right now. To capitalize upon this, he is releasing an EP on May 11th called It’s Better If You Don’t Understand, and this song is taken from that.

Bruno’s voice soars but it’s a shame that Cee-Lo is a featured artist on this joint — why, you ask? Well, because Cee-Lo’s voice soars more effortlessly than Bruno’s. Not that either of them sound bad on this joint, because I really like it (I’m a Cee-Lo stan though). Cee-Lo’s voice comes in smoother and in the pocket to me. B.o.B.’s verse could have been left off for my money.

What do you think of Bruno Mars’ first crack at going solo-dolo? I think it’s a good little ditty, and perfect for Cee-Lo (wondering if he had a hand in it?).

New Music Post — J. Cole, The-Dream, Cee-Lo, Kelly Rowland & Big Sean

Written by The IPS in New Music & Reviews on Apr 28, 10

      J. Cole – “Who Dat” (Prod. by Elite & J. Cole) [Download]

Phew, this joint is kinda nasty with it. On his alleged first proper single from his upcoming album Cole World, J. Cole stakes his claim in the young and upcoming hip-hop icon game. Dealing with the likes of Drake, Young Money and breakout star B.o.B., J. Cole is no slouch with the rhymes himself. And this Elite produced beat is pretty hot, good lyrics or not. It’s hard not to like this — after the first listen I found myself running it back actually. You can cherry pick the hot lines, but this has kind of reinvigorated me about J. Cole’s upcoming project. I was wondering if the hype was just THAT. Jay-Z signed him, but can that support alone make him a star with longevity? It’s about the music at the end of the day.

The-Dream – “Love King” (Remix) (Feat. Ludacris) [Download]

The-Dream ACTUALLY remixes his latest single, with a whole new beat and everythang. I like the beat, minus him. LOL. Ludacris even sounds good on it. I just can’t with The-Dream’s trying to get his R. Kelly on vocally. Seriously — and then he starts rapping amidst all of that. Help Father. This might actually be kind of hot if it was given to someone else, like, Dru Hill. Or maybe even Brutha. Just not The-Dream. What ya’ll think?
