    • Mashonda Never Got Magazine Covers For Her Actual Music Though…

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Jul 14, 10

Read the Vibe article here if you want

My whole take on this Mashonda/Swizz Beatz/Alicia Keys thing…meh.

However, I thought about it today and I realized Mashonda is getting covers for this whole business…she never got them for her music!

I remember she had that one Swizz Beatz produced song “Blackout” that had two versions — one with Snoop (see below video) and one with Nas. I liked the Nas one better, but the song was pretty terrible. Mashonda’s vocals were like, thin as rice paper and 2000 Kelis-esque. I remember thinking then, “the only reason she got signed is cause her husband is Swizz Beatz.”

I always cracked up because Swizz Beatz was speaking in them church tongues — “SHONDA! She’s a problem!” You got to be a church kid to get that.

LOL but tell me that this song isn’t laughable. The beat is kinda hot, but yeah…

Anyway, all that to say, I feel sorry for her. Alicia Keys is scandalous, and so is Swizz Beatz. I’m sure we will never know the whole story, but of course Alicia is going to catch the brunt of it because of who she is and the songs she’s sung about. Torrid and unfortunate for the children basically. That’s all I’mma say.

Kat Deluna Is Making It Way Too Easy To Consider Her Irrelevant; Remakes “California Gurls”…

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Jul 12, 10

ROFL this is so terrible I HAVE NO WORDS.

Kat Deluna remakes Katy Perry’s hit “California Gurls” and calls it “New York City Gurls”. And if Snoop’s rap wasn’t asinine enough, this dude Onassis takes it to another level of terribleness with his bars. Kat Deluna sounds like she is choking on a pitch whistle while falling off a treadmill or something…what in the WORLD.

Kat…you betta “Whine Up” into a waitressing job at a local bodega near you, cause this ain’t it…

Raz B’s Video Budget Is Probably Similar To A “3rd World Country” Too…

Written by The IPS in Videos on Jun 14, 10

      WOW. Why?

      Just why!? #icantsupportit

Raz B is still trying to make music…this sounds like he made it on his neighbor’s AT&T Netbook built-in webcam and Windows Movie Maker. The song itself sounds recorded with his Blackberry’s voice notes recorder and mixed in iTunes or something. Wow.

I have no other words, but I will send up a prayer for him. He probably spent his rent money and used up all his accrued PTO at Wal-mart to make this too. Jah bless!

Omarosa Is Looking For Love…On TV…TVOne That Is…

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Apr 28, 10

      Overall, these shows…#icantsupportit

Omarosa, with the help of Donald Trump and his “The Apprentice” team, is looking for love. In Las Vegas of all places!

And guess who is signed up — AL B. SURE.

Sweet Minty Jesus be real movie role and a Rush Card because I just can’t with all these reality shows. Omarosa’s 15 minutes on TV were up a while ago, so this just baffles me. Chilli can’t find a man, Ray J can’t find a girl, Fantasia can’t find a hit for her album…how about they get off camera and do some real legwork. LOL.

And did I see Pastor Jamal Bryant on a reality show? And didn’t Omarosa go to SEMINARY!? I’m so confused. Someone hold me in my Snuggie and rock me until I sleep this off….

She couldn’t even get on A&E or USA w/ the Donald’s help. She got stuck on TVOne with Lisa Raye and ‘nem. Ha!

Hark The Return of Sisqo From The Brink of Irrelevancy!

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Jan 4, 10

Sisqo has signed on to the latest edition of the UK’s “Celebrity Big Brother 2010″. So, I am guessing that reunion effort and their reality show on Peachtree.tv in ATL yielded no results?

I mean, say what you want, but Sisqo used to be a beast vocally. I see how he handily worked his way around all the money notes in this performance, but shoot, he was the Chris Brown and all them of our time. And I don’t care if you judge me, Sisqo went in on “Incomplete”. That song was hot and one of my favorite songs of the 90′s. I promise you that!

But this reality show mess — anything for a check. His performance was a bit rusty and wow, was he doing “The Jerk”?! OR, was that his same old choreography and it was the jerk back then!? So many questions!

And was his hair still blond or was he bald? It was hard to tell…

Oh well, nikkas gotta eat. And we need something to watch on TV. LOL! Still, overall, I CANNOT.

Music/Video Tomfoolery: Latoya Jackson & Kim Zolciak

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Sep 3, 09

Latoya Jackson has released a charity single to benefit one of Michael’s favorite charities, AIDS Project Los Angeles.

While the video itself is Chester Cheetah cheesy, the song itself is actually not TERRIBLE. I actually made it through the whole song. Latoya is sure to not be the last to capitalize in some way off of their brother’s unfortunate demise, but at least the proceeds of this are going to a charity?

DON’T BE TARDY FOR THE PARTY!

I mean, must I say anything else!? If you’ve even remotely been keeping up with the shenanigan-laced tomfoolery that is “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”, then you will know who Kim Zolciak is. She’s the resident YT girl, stirring up mess and trying to be famous for having a married man be her sugar daddy (they’ve broken up).

This is her “first single”. LAST season she was trying country and “working with her friend” Dallas Austin. This season, pop/R&B writer Kandi Burruss of Xscape fame is on the show, and so she produced this song for Kim. Why? Who knows. But “Tardy for the Party” is my new catchphrase and I’ve been using it in everything, including the jones’ing that went on last night about Chris Brown’s bowtie!

I swear though, this could be a Madonna song. Just imagine, you know you could hear Lil’ Wayne on this! It’s just so god-awful though that it’s catchy. In that pebble in your shoe kind of way.

Recession Testimonies: Coolio Performs For $3G’s…and Some Chicken.

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Sep 1, 09

      Coolio

Somebody get their uncle, please! Coolio is performing having a book club having a rent party at some deli in Colorado for $3,000, a bucket of chicken and some Patron. And it’s not that low-brow, Church’s Chicken mess either! KFC OR HIGHER SNITCHES! This is not a hoax either folks.

The Deli Zone, on Ken Pratt Boulevard, has offered live music since last year. The restaurant’s new concert room comes with the advantages of a proper stage and sound system.

The Coolio show will be the venue’s biggest by far, and the rapper’s appearance will be the city’s first celebrity performance in recent memory.

“My hope is that Coolio is going to give us … some recognition,” said Deli Zone owner Jeremy King. “I’m hoping to get a cool reputation as a cool place to come see music.”

Longmont has Macias to thank for the engagement. He said he proposed the show to Coolio’s manager after noticing the rapper was scheduled to play at The Goose in Boulder the evening before. Coolio asked for $3,000, a bucket of chicken and a bottle of Petrón (he likes the Silver variety), and took the gig. (Source)

I need everyone to go to iTunes right now and buy a copy of “Gangsta’s Paradise”. Save a chicken, feed one of Coolio’s kids. And while you are at it and feeling charitable, go buy a Hammer song. “Pumps N’ The Bumps” if you’re feeling RANDY! I’m sure he could use that $.20! Remember, charity begins at home!

Chicken ‘N Beer…has Coolio been listening to Ludacris lately? LOL such a prophet, that Christopher Bridges is.

Christina Milian Is Fighting To The Finish…Of Her Career.

Written by YTMatt in Movies on Aug 18, 09

Christina Milian’s last album dropped in 2006 and couldn’t even break 200k (her first 2 didn’t even break 400k). Based on her IMDB profile, she doesn’t get a whole heck of a lot of work, but somehow…she and/or her people thought it’d be a great idea to use the 4th Bring it On installment of the franchise to be a vehicle for Christina Milian.

When I saw the direct-to-DVD commercial this weekend, I kind of chuckled. Poor thing is so pretty, seems so nice, yet no one wants to hire her! Worse yet, poor thing bears such a striking resemblance to Rihanna, sings just as well (with Tricky/The-Dream Cool & Dre a good producer), yet has considerably less success.

Live Performance: Jeremih Has “Birthday Sex” On Wendy Williams

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Jul 15, 09

At about 1:20 seconds, my soul began to check out and check into Heaven’s Heartbreak Hotel!

Does he sing during his birthday sex? I hope not LOL.

I’m mad he was getting his Alicia Keys “Fallin’” on on the piano to this song ROFL! I’m sure he in that “Look I’m really a musician!” phase after his other songs have failed to register any attention with the people…

His countdown is at about 14:58…
