I don’t know how many fans of the show “Love & Hip-Hop” read Tha Feedback, but finally, we get a visual for Olivia’s much discussed but probably less purchased single “Walk Away”. Olivia’s image hasn’t been helped by the show in my opinion, but it’s simply further shown her inability to connect with a crowd on an emotional level outside of the surface lyrics of her songs.
I just can’t get over the fact that her face looks ORANGE in the first parts of this video LOL. And outside of the praise dancers and the “positive message” against domestic violence, this song and dance (pun intended) is still recycled at best. Being on VH1 might have given Olivia the means to pay for this video, and the eyes to watch it, but after one watch and a couple of listens from the show, I’m still not convinced Olivia is the one that will ascend to the charts in 2012. I just want to “walk away” and not care, still.
I don’t see any labels attached the video — it looks like it was paid for by her manager Rich Dollaz and Olivia again — so we must can assume from that that Olivia has continued to think that she can do this on her solo dolo. Sister better write some more hooks and gets a Beats by Olivia line going because I’m not sure how much longer she can sustain this “career” of hers.

I’m trying really hard to find the positive in this monochromatic mama, but she just seems so calculated and entitled.
Furthermore, there is a such thing as overuse of a color palette. She is “the orange family” personified.

Olivia’s got it, folks just hatin. This video almost had me in tears especially because I’ve been through what she’s talking about… And I’m in her audience. The video is nice, a little behind the times compared to what’s been put out nowadays but ultimately did its job. I won’t knock her.
