That’s it?
After the epicness that was the “Otis” video, we get some live concert footage? I mean, I didn’t get to go to the concert when it came to my neck of the woods as I was out of town and also spent that money instead on seeing PRINCE (HELLO!), but the concert itself looked to be pretty dope. All the tweets I saw from those who WENT to the concert seemed to be pretty positive, and of course, I heard numerous times that “Ni**as In Paris” was performed as an encore up to 7 times in some cities. That being said — I don’t care.
Watch The Throne is a big concept record, features two of the top talents in the hip-hop industry, so I feel like any visuals coming off of that record should be epic. This video, while cool, isn’t all that. I mean, I just wanted more. But I’m thinking the sales of the record didn’t justify that. The pop cultural cache and critical acclaim has probably been worth more than the digital sales and streams of everything else combined.
I did LOL at the epilepsy warning. Can I get a “this might be lame” warning as well?
In any case, this song’s beat still goes hard, and always incites mini-riots at the club. So let’s just act like this video didn’t happen and continue to enjoy the song at ignorant levels in our iPods, yes? Yes.

Count me in the ‘I Don’t Care’ crowd. I am not even going to watch this video. I was sorely disappointed by the album. A huge letdown. J
