“All About You” is the latest offering from SWV’s upcoming album I Missed Us, which is due out April 17th.
“All About You” attempts to channel that 90′s realness that “Co-Sign” seemed to naturally possess. Much to my chagrin, it feels a bit more forced this time around. The song is light on catchiness, heavy on verses and nothing that really makes the chorus stand out as “hooky”. “Co-Sign” was a fair-to-middling punch out the gate, but “All About You” doesn’t bode well in my opinion.
What if “Co-Sign” was the absolute strongest song on the new album? The days of strong singles and weak albums are long gone in an iTunes era, SWV…
There’s also a lot of singing on this song by the rest of the group. It’s not a bad thing, but the changes in voices simply illustrate further the fact that this song isn’t really catchy at all. While Taj and LeeLee are decent, they are no Coko, and the song drags each time there’s a change in lead vocal.
I’m definitely feeling this song as much as I did “Co-Sign”. Is it a harbinger of things to expect from the rest of I Missed Us? Let’s hope not.
Talk about it below.

you can actually listen to the entire album on Spotify now. i think the album is solid. But SWV is releasing the wrong tracks. Do Ya and Use Me, have crossover appeal. They need to release those as singles-ASAP

I’m feeling this little diddy tho. I will admit this is no hit; ain’t nobody checking for this but those of us who’ve been wishing for a new SWV project.

The song is…..OK. U would think it would have to be the bomb for them release a single with same title as their previous hit. Very confused???? I like the “All about U” from their 2nd album much better.

I think everyone will end up being WRONG. This is a much better song than Co sign actually and the lead changes here are much better than the other songs. This is an easy going summer cruising type of jam. Beautiful and more subdued.
