The Re:Generation project, sponsored by the Hyundai Veloster campaign, got a bunch of DJ’s (DJ Premier, Mark Ronson, Skrillex, etc.) to reinterpret different genres of musc In this particular clip, Mark Ronson steps up to the plate, pulling in Erykah Badu and Yasiin Bey (Mos Def), backed by The Dap-Kings, Trombone Shorty and New Orleans’ Zigaboo Modeliste for the cut “A La Modeliste.” Get into this jam session with Lady Badu. I think it’s hilarious that music is being sponsored by car companies and ads and being driven by non-traditional sources like labels and the like. But hey, as long as the music is getting made, I’m not THAT mad.
