This song?
Absolutely.
Let me tell you why I like it — Mr. James is doing his absolute best singing on this here record. The falsetto is so sudden and powerful (though I want to see him do this live, in person) that it snatches your attention immediately and makes you sit UP and take notice to the amount of skill he is just busting out of nowhere.
And then on top of that, the time signature changes and is a bit off putting, but once you get it, it’s refreshing. And it may take you a couple of listens. It reminds me of Chris Brown’s “Crawl” a bit because I remember when it started off, I was like, this is interesting. Then it develops into this other song that it makes you sit and listen and take the whole thing in.
I remember Luke James from his J Records days in the group Luke & Q, which never really got off the ground. Glad to see him still sticking around, writing hits (is it any wonder — guess what his song credits are? He co-wrote “Crawl”), and now getting his own chance to shine. His voice has an air of authenticity and warm, soulful overtones that bode well for a solo career in my opinion. The ladies will like the video of course, but I’m still sold on the song.
That’s what really matters.

This is AWESOME! Your musical taste is impeccable :) His falsetto abilities are phenomenal; the song was just an overall joy to listen to. No second or third listens needed, I loved it on the first listen.
