I’m sorry, I am SO disappointed with this song, video, treatment, Usher’s off-record activities, just everything. Dude will never be the legend that he could have been and aspires to be making music and visuals like this. There was a time when Usher ruled. Dude was singing down, dancing good, and couldn’t be stopped. Now? He’s churning out cookie-cutter music with overly OVER sexualized music featuring people like Nicki Minaj.
Usher can do and has done better and as one of the “one-name” performers of our generation, I’d hoped that he would be around for a really long time and be our next SOMEONE. That hope fades more and more.
Is Usher talented? Yes, of course. But this cycle he is on of relationship/album is really played with each passing single he gets more and more obscure to people in the Pop/R&B landscape…
And I am STILL mad at Polow for sampling “Living For The City” LOL. It just seems wrong!!

IPS, on a side note, I’ve been waiting for you to comment/do a post on Miley Cyrus being a “mentor” on IDOL this week. I won’t comment on her performance of a “power ballad” on the results show last night. Next week is RnB/Soul week and guess who…Usher will be the mentor. Nicki Minaj needs to get tested for Parkinson’s and Tourette’s.
