Tweet – “Love Again” [Listen & Download]
I love this woman, smooth chocolate skin, legs that are outta this world and breathy-raspy voice that can emote like nobody’s business. The southern hummingbird known to the world as Tweet has brought us a new single “Love Again” from her much oft delayed album Love, Tweet! (which is slated to be released this year but they’ve been saying that since ‘07).
“Love Again” finds her in the usual ethereal, mid-tempo love song groove she is known for. This girl’s background harmonies are the selling point for me — they are so distinct! No one can stack and layer like she can (she has done major vocal duty for albums by Missy Elliott, Monica, Karen Clark-Sheard, and more). My only issue with the song is it doesn’t seem to go anywhere. It’s like one big loop which causes it to sound really short once the song is over. This doesn’t take away from the fact that I love it though!
Any Tweet fans? What ya’ll think? If you really love it, make sure you go cop it on iTunes after you listen here!

This lady is BADDDD! She is one of the most underrated talents of the 2000s. She has consistently made quality music that’s been ignored. This artist is way more than “Oops (Oh My)”…”Iceberg”, “Beautiful”, “Heaven”, “Smoking Cigarettes”, “Turn the Lights Off”, “Hey Baby”, “Anymore”, “Cruisin”, “Give It To Ya”…I could go on and on with the outright classics she’s produced!
