J. Cole – “Who Dat” (Prod. by Elite & J. Cole) [Download]
Phew, this joint is kinda nasty with it. On his alleged first proper single from his upcoming album Cole World, J. Cole stakes his claim in the young and upcoming hip-hop icon game. Dealing with the likes of Drake, Young Money and breakout star B.o.B., J. Cole is no slouch with the rhymes himself. And this Elite produced beat is pretty hot, good lyrics or not. It’s hard not to like this — after the first listen I found myself running it back actually. You can cherry pick the hot lines, but this has kind of reinvigorated me about J. Cole’s upcoming project. I was wondering if the hype was just THAT. Jay-Z signed him, but can that support alone make him a star with longevity? It’s about the music at the end of the day.
The-Dream – “Love King” (Remix) (Feat. Ludacris) [Download]
The-Dream ACTUALLY remixes his latest single, with a whole new beat and everythang. I like the beat, minus him. LOL. Ludacris even sounds good on it. I just can’t with The-Dream’s trying to get his R. Kelly on vocally. Seriously — and then he starts rapping amidst all of that. Help Father. This might actually be kind of hot if it was given to someone else, like, Dru Hill. Or maybe even Brutha. Just not The-Dream. What ya’ll think?
More after the jump!

Cee-Lo – “I Want You” [Download]
New Cee-Lo! Radio rip for now, but it was supposedly produced by Jack Splash (who has been featured on Tha Feedback before). Pulled from UK radio, it’s supposedly from a new Cee-Lo solo LP. I like it, of course, but I wonder how much spitting (if any) Cee-Lo is going to do on this new LP of his. With Jack Splash being an often collaborator, I know they are cooking some great music up…though that constant synth/pad in the background of this song drives me crazy. LOL.

Kelly Rowland – “Commander” [Download]
Stefkes weighs in on this one ya’ll:
Miss Diva Deluxe Kelly Rowland is back on some hot shit, proclaiming “from here on out” she’s our “commander”. Ya’ll Americans love to label stuff “Euro” and this track would be a perfect example of that.
“Now, I command you to…dance!”, Rowland belts over the David Guetta produced track, and sets the tone for the dance-club inspired cut. Vocally, the track is pretty much like her hit with Guetta “When Love Takes Over”, going full out on the chorus. I see why they’re going for this sound since Kelis is on it, Christina Aguilera is tryin’ to be on it. They aren’t the first and last trying to switch styles. Still, I wanna see/hear/feel Kelly jump on this live — we know Kelly can deliver live on stage, and that’s where her voice still shows its colors.
Basically. Kelly has been a musical chameleon of sorts, trying to find her sound — I think she may have found it. We will see.

Big Sean – “Bullsh*ttin’” [Download]
OK, Big Sean has been largely underwhelming to me, but this joint’s production kind of caught me. He has a couple of funny lines that I keep going back and listening to, but overall, to be the next up on G.O.O.D. Music, he has a long way to go before he catches fire. Consequence is really kicking his tail when it comes to quality, especially on his latest mixtape. Still, Big Sean amuses me on this joint. Cussing throughout, but at times funny.
