    • Whitney Houston Stuns In South Korea — Good Way or Bad Way? You Decide!

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Feb 9, 10

Whitney Houston’s world tour has started and her first stop and launch was in Seoul, South Korea. Thousands of fans came up to support Whitney, and she ran through most of her hits from her 25-year old catalog, no doubt pleasing the die hard fans that were in the audience. Her “Nothing But Love” World Tour starts in South Korea and begins its journey around the world.

However — I am still trying to figure out if I wanted to see this tour or not because…it’s Whitney Houston! I love Whitney — but I feel the the Whitney we know and love is long gone. Don’t believe me? Peep the clip above of her singing “I Will Always Love You” live at the concert. There are more clips of her performances from the launch, but it just hurts my heart.

And to top it off, I just JUST watched “The Bodyguard” and so this performance was fresh in my mind. Such a shame!!

Would you buy tickets to see Whitney despite the condition her voice is in now?

I would buy tickets and if you were such a fan, you would not measure her by The Bodyguard. that’s a bit ridiculous. Whitney’s voice started to change from The Preacher’s Wife and definitely by My Love is Your Love album and nobody said a thing.

I watched most of the clips from her 2nd day tour in Korea and they were decent. Were they amazing by Whitney’s standards no, but no cracks and lots of head voice on display which I thought I would never hear her hit those high notes again.

she hit many of them in this concert and it’ s just the beginning. She has 47 dates and like any REAL Whitney fan knows when she starts a tour by the time the tour gets to 20-30 dates, her voice is on fire.

Also, if you wanted unbiased comments, a ‘reporter’ or ‘truthseeker’ knows not to lead the respondees. If this was a jury selection case, you would be thrown out. Ask for opinions but don’t mess the pool up by coloring it with your own biased opinion.

Just saying and Whitney has non announced plans to our in the USA. If she came, I would see her 2xs over. #ledgend #icon

If you are a fan, please post her new tourbook pics, she looks gorgeous and they shoot down those silly rumours of her looking haggard and back on drugs.

IWALY needs work but her high notes are intact and those are her money notes. She’ll get it together. remember what she sounded like at GMA so now, there is improvement. Please post the other clips where she is very good. I think you are a poser:

I read the blog and the comments and wanted to be fair so I listened to all the clips:
        Decision:

I would pay to see her. Not bad. I heard her hit those notes and she looks great. I’m a believer in the healing power of God .

      5. February 9, 2010 Marc

Ok, I’m pretty sure her backup singers were hitting the “you” notes right after the climax.

      6. February 9, 2010 twizzle

I heard that the makers of RAID™ are in negotiations to use short samples of her vocals from this tour in a new line of electronic pest control devices designed to plug into your wall, and send roaches running from your home . . .

      7. February 9, 2010 Nikki Dai

Wow, so before Beyonce stans there were Whitney stans.

      8. February 9, 2010 divaTy

6 paragraphs on a Whitney post? C’mon, son.

      9. February 14, 2010 Rachel

She is short of breath much. Her backup singers carry her and some of her video reminded me of Tina Turner. There can only be one Tina and Whitney shouldn’t got there.

I think its a good effort on Whitney’s part and one she should engage in as it may make her stronger but its possible she has some kind of physical damage as to why she in her mid 40’s and is so short of breath.
She is looking better and that I am glad to see. Things take time so she is probably doing the best thing to get back and that is go on the road and keep busy. She can tackle the American audience when she improves.

      10. February 25, 2010 teron

I’m impressed with her improvement she is on the comeback !she hit some old school power notes which instantly brought joy to my heart.flashbacks of her peak .say what u want no other female singer can take her place bow to the voice of all times and for the haters go to hell and don’t return
