Mariah Carey’s remix album, titled Angel’s Advocate, has been pushed back to March 9th, 2010. It had been slated for February, but they’ve pushed it back.
Now, I am gonna say that it was pushed back since they just laid off staff at Universal Music Group — staff that of course would be utilized to go out and “buy” the album; but the real reason is probably because “Precious” also hits DVD that day and she’s also going on a tour of the same name around the same time.
The original just went gold — and I just read that Rihanna went platinum. How/why/who? LOL.
I won’t be paying for this remix album or this tour — this is not the 90′s and there is no ODB in sight so I’m good. As far as the tour — come on, really? I’d rather pull out my MTV Unplugged live of Mariah’s from a grip ago and call it a wrap. Of course the lambs are gonna come out and support. I eat lambchops for dinner though! Pow!
Are Mary and Mariah doing a remix of sorts? That’s gonna sound like Bert & Ernie playing with a See ‘N Say. Lawd. More after the jump!
Featuring remixed versions of songs from her recent Gold album “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel,” “Angels Advocate” is being fronted by the lead singles “Angels Cry” with Ne-Yo and a remix to “Up Out My Face” with rapper Nicki Minaj. Videos were shot for both singles and are expected to be released soon.
“Working with Mariah was a learning experience. Her level of professionalism is almost double what mine is and the thing is, you won’t expect it,” Ne-Yo said of his recent collaboration with Carey. “Normally, when you see Mariah, you just see the glitz and the glamour, and she’s a diva, she’s fabulous. But when it’s time to work, she focuses and gets the job done.”
Remixes of “Obsessed” Gucci Mane and “H.A.T.E. U,” with Mane, OJ Da Juiceman, and Big Boi were previously serviced to radio. “Angels Advocate” is also expected to feature collaborations with T-Pain, Trey Songz, and Mary J. Blige. (Source)

I think I see a booger. Maybe it’s her brain. Either way, I don’t like that angle. She shouldn’t either.

Wow this is so sad. I live in Atlanta and I remember in like 2000 when Mariah came to Philips Arena. Now she’s coming to the Fox Theater and the tickets aren’t even selling that well.
Damn Mimi, you fell off!

“this is not the 90’s and there is no ODB in sight so I’m good” LOL
um, please someone tell me why she is taking the time and $$ to do a remix album for a crappy prior album?? this isn’t the 90s anymore when the remixes were better than an ALREADY GREAT song. the thing is, i’m not even an MC hater…i loved her older albums, the emancipation of mimi was great all the way through, but it seems that at a certain point she REFUSED TO GROW UP. there is an immaturity and frank hoochie-ness in her music now that is far below my standards for her. sad…SMH…

As much as I liked her in the 90s, her prime is up and a done deal. I wont be buying this remix cause this is nothing but a a recycle material from E=Mc2 n Memoirs that flopped hard.
Stay home and enjoy your married life. :(
