One of my favorite groups as of late to come from across the ocean is The Noisettes. I’ve talked about them before, and I spotted this performance of their lead singer Shingai Shoniwa performing with Jools Holland’s big band on his New Year’s Eve special. She performed “Don’t Upset The Rhythm” and gave it the big band treatment, and it was HOT. She sounded great. Got on the piano, ran around stage barefoot and didn’t miss any notes. It was a little bit “stiff” on the account of the band and their ages (LOL), but I loved this. Even the time signature change. Dope! Peep the real video for “Don’t Upset The Rhythm” here if you’ve never heard the song before…I love this song. Shouts to Soulculture!
Every time I hear this song I love it more! Clipse have been performing it everywhere, but this one is special because it’s assisted by The Roots AND Black Thought jumps in for a couple of bars. Do I smell a remix? Let’s hope so. The Roots liven up ALL of the performances from Fallon though…
My only observation is that rap music is SO simple these days, The Roots barely even break a sweat doing it live. LOL, I know some days they are on auto-pilot. This is hot though so enjoy!

WOW, both of those performances were hot. That must have a really good episode for jimmy fallon because I watched his interview with Gabourey Sidibe was also really good.
