So back in December when the nominations were announced, we (Firstgentleman) threw out some picks of who he thought was going to win in a few select categories. Now that the big night has passed, here’s a breakdown of picks vs. wins — did you create a scorecard for yourself?

Firstgentleman: So I’ll be the first to admit my predictions were off; and secondly, I’d like to say that Lady GaGa was robbed, Taylor Swift was pitied and Beyonce’ hypnotized the voters by whirling around her golden yaki #15 in a Sasha Fierce trance. A pedestrian and safe list of winners from an equally blah Grammy broadcast. I hate when one or two artists dominate a given genre, so boring and unjust.

Love beyonce but she shouldnt be anywhere near a R&B catagory.

^ Right, Beyoncé is nowhere near R&B, despite the fact that the album contains a snap song (“Video Phone”) and variations on all types of hip-hop and R&B. Or are you one of those that thinks that “real R&B” consists of somebody yowling about they baby leaving them? Poor you.
Anyway, I could have told you some of those predictions were wrong. There’s logic that goes into that.
