OK at first I thought I wouldn’t like this video, because I’d heard the song previously and it gave me all kinds of headaches.
But I am kinda digging this now for some reason. Maybe my mind is in a different space after watching the Drake video (“TITTAYBALLS!”) and it’s latching on to something different.
Well Rye Rye is definitely different. Though, I swear girl looks like India.Arie and Cheri Dennis had a baby! She is M.I.A.’s protegee and apparently she’s known her since she was 15. In typical M.I.A. fashion, the visuals in this clip are crazy at times, but really, the majority of it features folks dancing and doing some crazy footwork. Not sure if it’s anything specific, but yeah.
Catch out the Glowstick Kids at about 2:30!
