Video Review: Musiq Soulchild – “Sobeautiful”

This video is “Sobeautiful”. I featured this song on podcast episode #5 and now you see why. Such a beautiful ode to love & beauty. Musiq can churn out some romantic joints, can’t he?

I wish I had neighbors THAT fine. Sweet Minty Jesus! How convenient. I thought this video was sweet and I loved the story-telling and POV that the video offered.

I still think this Musiq album was REALLY decent and I still listen to it often from the batch of R&B music albums that were released around the same.

  There is no way in hell that he can deliver this live. I love him but his falsetto is garbage live.

  This video reminds me of the movie “Love Jones”…when Nina (Nia Long) starts taking photos of Darius (Larenz Tate). Also, it is black and white like parts of the movie.

  after a few listens to the album, this became my favorite song. and the video makes me love it that much more. musiq doesn’t really do much wrong in my book – except the one word song titles. i even like that song “onmyradio”. should i be ashamed to admit that? *lol*
