My boy nOva over at SoulBounce hipped me to this cat a while ago and I have been stanning for this song ever since. I keep meaning to put it on a podcast but haven’t been able to find one yet where it quite fits. However, I was soon added by the man himself on Twitter and today he dropped a tweet about his new video!
The video itself is a simple but classy affair, befitting with the music and message of the song. He added some annotations himself on Youtube which give the video an added slant of humor. Mr. Gregory is all smiles throughout the video though, and it just gives the video a real warm and personable feel. The Broadway singer and award winner definitely has a top-notch voice, and one more suited for R&B/pop than say, a comparable person like Heather Headley.
Of course this is just a cover. You should go cop the rest of Chester Gregory’s album “In Search of High Love” as well, and I am hoping I can maybe get an interview!
