    • Video: Ciara – “Love Sex Magic” Feat. Justin Timberlake

Written by The IPS in Videos on Mar 22, 09

You know, this might be wrong of me, but I couldn’t help but think that if this was back in the days of Cadillac Records and racism, that this kind of pairing could have NEVER happened. Such overt sexuality between a white man and a black woman?

And why is Justin Timberlake always at the center of it? LOL.

The video for Ciara’s quickly rising single “Love Sex Magic” has finally been released and I saw it over at Necole Bitchie. Shouts to Necole!

I’m just a little taken back by how, graphic, well not graphic, but just in your face this video is. Is this what it has come down to?

The song is just lackluster to me, but Ciara is definitely vying for that “entertainer” spot since Janet has gone on a hiatus.

I won’t go into any comparisons or whatnot, I will leave that up to ya’ll. I will say though while Ciara is a beautiful woman, I wish she’d save some of the goodies. Men like some mystery! LOL.

      What say you?

Cosign. I’m tired of looking at it.

um the video is definitely in your face, Im sorry why do I think Justin can’t handle that at all!!!

Well apart from the fact that the video is graphic in the way jt and cici are working with each other.. I kinda like how much they’re playing with the light. I mean, this video could be easily paused at almost every second and the still would be perfect for a spread in a fashion magazine.

Ciara is indeed a very beautiful woman, and this video just shows that she is a woman who knows her body, AND controls it. I don’t see how some websites claim this video is NSFW, while it just her (and a hint on him) showing their sexuality the way they do in this video. I really don’t see it as raunchy or even pornography, it is a mixture of sexuality and confidence and it should be considered (performance-)art.

Plus, I really like the idea of lighting the whole set, and not the performers. That way you really focus on the chemistry between them, and not on them seperately.

^ Damn you, Ips.. I wanted to do this review but you beat me to it:P

i like the song, and the lighting tricks are dope too. i just don’t like timberlake…said “eww” a few times out loud during this, lol, with the lickin’ and whatnot.

I guess the song is alright. But with a song like this, and sex becoming more and more mainstream; how long do you think it will be before songs/videos like this will be nominated for a kids’/teens’ choice award?

The song is hot…and just in case any one missed dit the the name of the album is FANTASTY RIDE. So, the song and video seems to reflect that. To me the only use for JT is crossover..good for you CiCi work those b.>>>tches.
