Well, this video was nothing I was expecting. I think I was expecting something along the lines of his “Way I Are”, nothing along the lines of “New Moon”, the vampire craze sweeping the nation.
Timbaland’s new artist, French singer/songwriter Soshy also takes a role in this video, in which they are protecting a woman (a fine one at that though) from some other vampires.
All we are missing is Missy Elliott busting in as a werewolf. Oh and what, no Magoo? Oh the humanity!
Overall, I think I’m a little disappointed with this and just this new Timbaland music in general. Nothing has grabbed me as quickly as the material from his last album did. This video further confounds, but if you listen to the lyrics of this song, what is he talking about anyway? I’m sure we could spin off the metaphors and whatnot, but…yeah, I think I’ll pass period.

I don’t get the whole fascination with vampires these days, but I like the video.
Isn’t the same dress Soshy had on at the AMA’s tonight? Not hating, just an observation.

…What did I even just watch? That was…just so awkward. The only saving grace was the fact that Soshy looks something like Angelina Jolie but other than that everything was just…so awkward. I don’t even know what to think!?

A pipin’ hot mess of confusion.
I guess Nelly Furtado was at home cookin’ up a batch of chicken gizzards and bacon grease for Timbo and couldn’t make it to the video shoot.
I was at the AMA’s, and seeing all Timbo’s scalp and neck fat on those huge video monitors was a real “treat.”
I feel so insulted when these “top notch” producers recycle the same sh*t, and then act like they just re-invented the wheel. You have access to an unlimited palette of sound, but we get the same drum track over and over again. Tim had the nerve to say THIS about the song:
“The song, I can’t describe it, it’s so different.”
Really? Are your ears broke?
This sorry ass video is not helping. They got pills to fix that nervous “tick” Timbo. Get a clue!
