Now, I have never really been a Smokey Robinson fan but this cover kinda made me laugh. I don’t know why, I’ve just never imagined him doing THIS song. It really does fit his voice though. A good song is a good song, whether he writes it or sings it.
Smokey has a new album coming out tomorrow (8/25) called Time Flies When You’re Having Fun. Dude still looks crazy young — how old is Smokey?! 69! Lord, get it Smokey ROFL. William Robinson is still holding it together after all these years.
I’m actually going to see an “Intimate Performance” with Smokey tonight on my last night in Los Angeles, so hopefully I will get some pics/audio to share!
