No shade to Rihanna, she been through a lot this past year but…
THAT’S IT!?
Boo! Wamp! Please pass the mic!
When it started off all I could think was “Pirates of the Barbados Isles”. LOL wassup with the eye patch?
I could infer maybe a whole bunch of stuff about this video (the aforementioned eyepatch, straddling the angel, strutting in a church, walking across a bridge, etc.) but I’m just gonna parlay all that into saying that this video is boring, enough with the glamour shots, this song has no melody, you can’t dance to it, wamp wamp womp womp womp.
Rihanna, you gonna have to come a lot harder than this! At least Chris has Lil’ Wayne and transformers and Tyrese and…and…
Rihanna’s name might be a brand but as an individual and a singer, that’s not enough to carry this song nor video.
That’s my $.02, what’s yours?
Rihanna overload this week I’m sure…I apologize in advance….

Smdh!
I expected MUCH more from Forehedda. Considering that Beyonce and Gaga’s video will be coming out this week, I expected her to SNATCH WIGS in all her dramatic cuntiness in this vid. But alas. The song is boring, the video is subpar..she really was channelling Diddy in that Mink/Chinchilla coat wasn’t she lmao!

this video was a mess. I wanna know what we was waiting for and why? i was confused she went from a “ballet” (ballad) lol to a reggae song..all in one.at least get jay or yezzy on the track.Chris Brown>Rihanna

I give up…. I tried to watch the whole thing but by 2:26, I just couldn’t finished….
I felt like I was at the mall stuck behind a window shopper walkin hella slow & they were just taking their F**in time! All the while, I’m trippin on the back of their heels tryin to get somewhere but they just weren’t movin fast enough….. You said it best….. wamp >_< Better luck next time Rih….

LOL at your ‘Try harder next time’ tag!
That was really boring. The song, the video, all that crotch grabbing attitude just left me empty. What exactly were we waiting for again? I kept waiting for something exciting to happen and nothing did. The lyrics didn’t even make any sense. Wamp wamp.
I’ve heard a few tracks so far and they were all just sad. It’s almost as if the producers and possibly Rihanna herself just assumed that they would be able to coast their way to a hit album based solely on her star power.
I’m not a fan, but I’ve tried to figure out why people love her so much, listened to her songs ( I actually liked Pon De Replay when it dropped!), watched her live performances…I still don’t get it. She is beautiful, and fashion forward (or her stylists make her fashion forward), but she is just empty to me. Sorry Ri but you need to do better. Or maybe just become a model and get it over with.

the video was nothing groundbreaking, the style shes rocking has been around since the early 90’s mainly in eastern europe in the underground trance/techno scene, but i guess its new because rihyena (the right hand of god) has blessed our souls with her holy style. this island girl has come along way since “pon de forehead†but it seems so forced and manufactured. her cockatiel hair is not a good look either. she should “russian roulette†herself and save us the pain from this album.

on a side note, why is she wearing that “crush on you” fur poncho, does lil kim know bout this?

Ouch…I see yall are loving the video lol.
Well, for a high fashion, cardboard cut out, artist…this ain’t half bad! I’m feeling the new hip-hop direction especially since it was assumed she was going to go more euro/rock/pop. The album filler poser as a single “Hard” is a great track.
This song ain’t for me but she is still a SOLID “recording” artist who is easy on the eyes. Why have such big expectations from a high-end, corporate-packaged artist? When were these types of artists ever about real musicianship…i.e training?
When were these artists ever CONSISTENTLY putting out provocative, full bodied pieces of brilliant musical work? I think this is why Itunes happens to be flourishing in the market right now lol. And why artists like Rihanna can exist in the marketplace.
I am only addressing the expectations here versus the opinions.
I don’t know how I got on that soapbox but I am slowly stepping down…

It’s only Tuesday, and I can’t believe the pure, unadulterated comedy that the latest releases from some of “America’s Finest” have generated.
“Pon Da 4Head,” “Riheyna,” “Snorelicia”. . . I am dead!
I can’t lie . . . I’ll be checking this site every 10 minutes on Thursday to see the comments on Gaga & Beyonce. Even if the video is fire, it will definitely inspire comedic responses.
At any rate, this song has actually grown on me. The video is trash, but, I caught myself swaying to the song itself.
The track with Jeezy is tight.

Ummm…I kind of like it.

I like it. Especially when she turns on her accent. I love hearing authentic Caribbean accents like my relatives’. No Jafaican shit.
