    • Music Video: Omarion – “I Get It In” (Feat. Gucci Mane)

Written by The IPS in Videos on Nov 10, 09

AND WE’RE BACK! Sorry, been having server issues, but all should be resolved tomorrow afternoon by the latest — so if you are still having problems, let me know!

Omarion finally has a new video for his soon to drop record Ollusion (OK with that title though…) and it once featured Lil’ Wayne, but now is featuring the seemingly-onipresent Wayne replacement Gucci Mane.

Well aside from nifty dancing, there’s really nothing much to report here. I think Omarion is a bit of a one-trick pony and this video shows us why. Sure, he can dance. Maybe choose interesting beats. But aside from all that, the visuals here fall flat. Marching band? And are those dancers supposed to be “thuggish” what with their choice of clothing?

Gucci’s verse is dry and lacks the spontaneity of Lil’ Wayne’s original (which I’m assuming wasn’t used since O’s no longer signed to his label).

I’m not particularly buying it. “I Get It In” has a catchy beat, but I’ve found that after a couple of listens it gets a little stale — and so does Chris Brown’s “I Can Transform Ya”, which is inevitably what this joint is going to be compared to. What do ya’ll think?

I am confused isnt he a singer..him and ciara should just be back up dancers if you ask me..i do like the beat though

ROFL I’m gonna agree with you @Rochelle, I also felt this video was very Ciara-ish with the dancing. Like, when all else fails, shake ya a**!

      3. November 11, 2009 ugh

tank produced this song, and you know how much i stan for tank! i think the beat is bananas and the song isnt too bad. but i think it could have been served better if it were given to someone else. it does get stale after listening to it a couple time, but i think thats mostly in part of omarion’s never changing voice/singing and guccis monotonous verse.

i agree with Rochelle, give up the dancing for a second and focus on the voice.

        This video sucked balls.

I can’t believe Tank produced this! He killed this beat. I love this song and the video, I’ve heard this song numerous times, even on the radio I’m not tired of it yet and this songs goes hard in the clubs, it gets people on the dance floor so I don’t see why the hate for this song or for Omarion. No it’s not O’s usual style and I’m sure he’ll go back to his good ole’ R&B but for right now he’s changing it up a bit I think he did that very well with “Get It In”.

I actually really like this song. The beat just sucks me in. I am disappointed in the video … the dance should have been better.

      7. November 15, 2009 effupayme

I heart this beat but just think the visuals and dance moves were kind of tired. plus I’m sick of this skinny jeans trend on males-its kind of ‘sweet tea’ for me. And i’m wondering what the hell that is growing on the back of omarion’s head?! in comparison to CB’s transform ya, CB just makes it look better. O trying to be hard just makes me laugh.
