Um, not only will their love be coming down, but so will their account balances.

This video could have been so much better…and the sad thing is this song has grown on me. What Diddy fails to do is EDIT HIMSELF. And his ego clearly. Someone needs to sit him down and work these things out because this could have been a salvageable song if they had:

  • Removed that ridiculous “room full of vultures” refrain from the whole hook
  • Took off this Kaleena chick — sorry. Her singing feels flat and lacks “oomph” and her voice is mediocre.
  • TOOK OFF DIDDY

LOL if this was a Dawn song, it’d have been hot. The music itself is interesting (what is that, pipes, marimbas!?) though I’m not sure WHAT this song is talking about.

But the visuals are just so…what is going on? Why is Sean wearing a GRILL! He looks like Yo Gotti! He is too old and has too much money for that. How is this Dirty Money thing coming together because I am not seeing the vision. He is not making it plain!

It felt like I was watching an OLD Bad Boy video, what with the tunnel, lighting and smoke and whatnot. I hate to break it to Diddy but Last Train to Paris may be his last train ANYWHERE. This whole thing just isn’t gelling. Watching Dawn, it feels like she knows this too and is just going through the motions so that she can get a check.

Their personal choreography was a bit mind-numbing too, if there was any in the first place…just so much that could have gone right went wrong in this probably overly expensive video. When will the artists and labels learn?

Anyway IPS, Umm the video is so dark to me(as in difficult to even see what’s happening). I acutally loved the song primarily because the beat is sick, but again Diddy’s lackluster talent as a rapper makes the song kinda wack. I guess I don’t mind the Kaleena girl so much. But without Diddy she’d certainly fall into obscurity. I’m giving her the benefit of the doubt because I’m sure being under Diddy’s Hawk eyes limits her creativity. She could be dope. Which leads me to Dawn, she wasn’t my fave Danity Kane member (D. Woods was actually) but her vocals are incredible. Diddy is doing what’s trendy and it’s hurting Dawn. She doesn’t need all the auto-tune, glitz and standard Diddy treatment for female artists (AKA sexed-up). Just let her write and sing. He needs to let her have some artisitc freedom and maybe we could hear something authentic from her. I too am a bit fuzzy on what this song is talking about.

    I co-sign MzTrici

I’ve never disliked Kalenna (but thank you IPS for saying her name cause I can NEVER remember). I wonder what a duo with her and Dawn would be like — well, I know, Dawn woul dbe the only one anyone cares about.

Anywho, Diddy’s ego is the reason his ish can’t ever go anywhere and why he never sells albums (I mean, what was the last solo Diddy album that sold… please tell me, seriously… I’ll wait). He doesn’t seem to understand that he can’t dance, he can’t rap and I betcha he couldn’t produce a record all by himself if he tried. I’m so over that dude.

I love this song though. I like the video if only because it’s MUCH better than the first one (what was that? Angels or some such). However, it falls prey to what I see happening in a lot of videos — they overcompensate for a lack of plot/substance by showing us a lot of nothing at once. You can’t even really watch the dancers because the shot moves too often.

Anywho… I’ll watch this train crash and burn just like every other Diddy train. If Diddy was just an artist, he’d be in the “what the hell happened to…” files.

I agree with ya’ll the song grew on me, cause the track is kinda hot. But Diddy is the main downfall to this joint…and that says a lot when he’s the anchor for the group…hello!

I like the overall feel of the video, but it does seem incomplete.

Your commentary is hilarious, IPS! This is why I am a fan of your site.

And sad to say, what Suge Knight said years ago at the Source awards is true, Diddy needs to stop being in everybody’s videos!
