    • Classic Flashback: Jordan Knight – “Give It To You”

Written by The IPS in Blogs, Videos on Oct 30, 09

This song was my JAM! My twitter friends reminded me of it this morning — shouts to FirstGentleman and Chrisstyle!

Did you know that Robin Thicke co-wrote and produced most of this album and this song as well. Light years and light years beyond where everyone else was at the time. The song was kinda dirty too LOL.

The NKOTB should have gotten Robin again for that last album they put out LOL…

Ooh no you didn’t take it there with this one!! I absolutely LOVED this song! The video was hot with all the dancing and Darrin Dewitt Henson was looking good. I had no idea Robin Thick co-wrote/this song & his whole album. I never bothered to check for his album but I think I will now that’s if I can find it.

Speaking of Robin, you should post his OLD video “When I Get You Alone” When he was riding around town on his bike with his shoulder length hair and he was just going by the name “Thicke” then. I know I’m not the only one who remembers that!

      2. October 30, 2009 Chris-style

I just wanted to say I love being mentioned in your blog posts! 8-) lol :-P

        OMG YASSSSS!!!!!!!!!
I remember this song coming out and because I was mostly into pop and stuff when i was younger, i saw this vid and i was like O_0!!!! white dude can DAAAAAAANCE!!!!’ At the time, I thought he was the best dancer of all time when i saw this vid. Real talk lmao, i’d never seen dancing like that before…wow i love this song lmao!!

      4. October 30, 2009 SteevieFantastic

And doesn’t Jordan look like he could be a member of the Osmond family? Or is it just me?

      5. October 30, 2009 Mr. Mason

I agree with Chrisstyle I too enjoy being mention by name on your blog (formerly mention as a “twitter peep”) That’s a step in the right direction. Anywho Jordan’s album is dope from start to finish…I found it mixed in with some blank cd’s this morning and you can just hear Robin all over the album.

      6. October 30, 2009 Mela3

I still listen to this song on a regular basis, he did a small snippet during the New Kids tour, according to my friend. I swear I was the only person I knew who liked “When I get you alone”, i’m glad I’m not the only person around here that liked it.

      7. October 30, 2009 silky jumbo

i never get enough of this song. i even have the “darrin’s dance grooves” DVD – i was a little obsessed with the song & my friends got it for me so that i could bust out the dance at parties.

i worked in a record store (“high fidelity” – style) when Jordan’s album and (later) that Thicke album were released. i played them all the time and sold quite a few copies. (if i ever meet robin thicke, that dude owes me a quarter.)

      10. October 30, 2009 kelis

I loved this song. LMAO @ Darrin’s Dance grooves!!!!!! LOL so zesty!

      11. October 31, 2009 HEALTHY BLACK QUEENS

and yeah i loved old thicke too.. lazy bones and when i get you alone, hell the entire album was great.

      14. November 1, 2009 john Anderson

u know this song was kool, I was sort of mad at the time cause Jordan was jocking the Timbaland/Aaliyah sound at the time.(which they were but its still pretty good)

      15. November 1, 2009 SororSalsa

This was a good song…didn’t know Robin Thicke wrote it though. Loved his first album…When I Get You Alone, Vengas Conmigo & The Stupid Things were my favorites. I miss dirty Thicke…he’s looking a little too corporate music these days, but I do still enjoy the music.

      16. November 1, 2009 Miss1Dimpel

Did this come out in 2000? this used to be my jam. My friends used to laugh at me because they would catch me dancing to this in my dorm room everyday? Thanks for bringing this back.

      17. November 3, 2009 Jess

I had this when they still made singles on CD. LOL. But i didn’t know Robin Thicke had writing credits on his album. His first CD has been on my ‘To Get’ list for a loooong time.
