The beat for this song is TOO nasty. Is that an upright bass? I love it.
Souls of Mischief (Myspace) have a new album out today called Montezuma’s Revenge, and this is the video for their first single “Proper Aim”. The song is a group cut, with everyone getting in their bars. The focal point of this though to me is the nimble beat and flows and how everyone maneuvers around it. Rhymes and music are both centerstage and it’s just lovely to me today.
What’s even more dope is that famed painter Steve Lopez is captured as he creates their album cover for the video. That’s pretty dope concept for a video, and I’m sure it was cheap!

What ya’ll think of this joint?
