J*DaVeY – “Crawl All Over” [Listen + Download]
Another hot hot hot new joint from J*DaVeY. Their new mixtape, Boudoir Synema: the great mistape, drops on Christmas Day and I am excited to hear what they are coming with. All of the leaked songs have been excellent and this one doesn’t change that trend. The music is cinematic in a funky and down-tempo way. Let me know what you think.

Alicia Keys – “Empire State of Mind Pt. 2 (Remix)” Feat. Raekwon, CNN & Styles P [Listen + Download]
Do you remember when remixes were actual new music tracks instead of taking on rappers phoned in verses? Well, this goes back to what a remix is. DJ Green Latern hits the boards and remixes Alicia Keys’ joint with a nice hip-hop swagger. I think I like this better than the original beat-wise. The music under Rae’s verse has a nice swagger and swing to it — and Green Lantern changes up the beds under each verse. Nice. Capone’s voice however…HILARIOUS. What ya’ll think of this remix?
More after the jump…

Trey Songz – “I Invented Sex (Remix)” Feat. Usher & Keri Hilson [Listen + Download]
OK, so, Usher kinda murks Trey on his own ish. Trey was worried about R. Kelly, but he NEEDS to be worried about Usher. They are vocally similar, but Usher’s voice is Trey’s w/o the annoying vibrato and much better vocal skills. He kinda does this right! He’s also trying to get some of that pre-Tamkea swagger back — are ya’ll believing him? Keri Hilson also does a great job on this remix, but she’s like, the remix queen. I still listen to her remix of LL Cool J’s “Headsprung”. She should consider doing a remix mixtape. Trey Songz, well, I can do without him and his rap/sing verses.

Shawty Lo – “Blenda” Feat. Nate Butler [Listen + Download]
Friend of mine Nate Butler sent me a preview of this track months ago, but it’s since been reworked and done by Shawty Lo, with Nate on the hook. Nate Butler is an accomplished producer and has worked with some of EVERYONE, including 3LW. It’s a different look for Shawty Lo, one which I am not sure I like too much LOL. What ya’ll think about this joint? Maybe Luda shoulda put this on his Battle of the Sexes album with Shawnna…

Usher always kills a young artist on a remix of there song before he releases an album. (“Ice Box”, “Invented Sex”) I aint asking why since Ush’s remixes are hot.
