    • New Music From R. Kelly, Alicia Keys, Kelis & Dondria

      R. Kelly – “Pregnant” Feat. Tyrese, Robin Thicke & The-Dream [Download + Listen]

This song is pretty ridiculous lyrically, but the vibe of the music and song would be dope with some other lyrics. I mean, R. Kelly is seriously too old for this. You know who should be singing this? Tank. Robin Thicke fits the most on this track, and The-Dream just…even the verse  he is singing *air quotes around singing* just makes me cringe. Waaaamp. Tyrese was in “Baby Boy” so this sounds like something he’d jump on LOL.

He also another one called “Crazy Night” that leaked…this one features/was produced by Rock City and he even adopts their island accents. I cannot. And I like Rock City. I think the thing that needs to be changed about both of these songs is…removing R. Kelly.

Alicia Keys – “Empire State of Mind (Part II) Broken Down” [Download + Listen]

Ya’ll, I’m so sick of this song already. I hate that Alicia feels like she has to sing this song in her outside voice at level 10. It’s so boring! Maybe I’m not from New York and I don’t get it, but this “Part II” foolishness makes it even worse…because it’s MORE acoustic sounding until almost the very end of the song. Alicia KeyzzzZZzzzZZzzz is one of my favorites but I’m starting to lose interest…and what’s up with people and these spikes!?

Kelis – “Acapella” [Download + Listen]

I totally get why Kelis would get with David Guetta. I do. And at first, I thought this song was a tad bit unbearable. After another listen, I saw what they were trying to do. And then after another listen, I came, I saw, I left. I mean, it’s coo, but man does it get annoying after about 30 seconds. If you are raving and on E, sure, break out the glowsticks and vogue! But casual listening? It’s a bit much. Kelis has never been THIS dance-channeling as far as I can remember. What ya’ll think?

Dondria – “You’re The One” [Download + Listen]

You know, I’m glad that Dondria is finally getting some new music out. She definitely has a voice, but after hearing this song, I’m not really hearing anything that sets her apart from all the other young girls around the world that are great singers. She just doesn’t have the factor that makes you want to just…listen and see what comes next. Great singer, great voice though. This song was produced by Bryan-Michael Cox and J.D. Dondria needs to figure out what’s going to really make her blow up and connect w/ peeps cause this is a pleasant joint, but that’s about it…

I cannot believe this negro released this foolishness. What’s next, the “octuplets” remix? I can’t do this anymore. And “boo” for bringing Robin Thicke down to your level. He’s too classy for this. I am so mad that this is a real song!

Alicia is flat! And I ain’t talkin’ about her bosom! This was so UNNECESSARY! Reeks of desperation—she’s holding on for dear life to the ONE single of hers that people been feelin’. What a fall from grace. I’m puttin’ on “A Woman’s Worth” and forgettin’ I ever heard this atrocity.

I’m more interested in Kelis’ random hair colorings than her actual releases at this point. Just live off that cake and stop bothering us please.

Somebody needs to tell JD that cloning is still illegal in the United States. Bey is somewhere seriously cracking up at this one . . .

        LOLOL *DEAD*

I like AK too, “Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart” is growing on me although the whole “try sleeping with a video director TRICK” comment still sticks in my head. ROFL I think she needs to get that funk/soul back QUICKLY. She’ll still sell though, but she can’t get away with this crap on the next album, or the next one will be her last. You can be half-steppin’ with your music/vocals a la Mariah Carey in a RECESSION. People, even your fans, aren’t havin’ it, unless, they are havin’ it for FREE on LimeWire.

I’m sooo glad you and I are on the same page for this new R. Kelly CD. Its too much and I says no to it. I just can’t like it. And that pregnant song was a waste of talent. I get what they were ATTEMPTING to do, but utter FAIL with the end product.
