Chris Brown – “Crawl” [Listen + Download]
Hmm…I’m not sure whose “ballet” I like better — Chris Brown’s or Rihanna’s.
Chris’ is more safe, Rihanna’s is more daring and dark. This shows the two different places they are emotionally right now in regards to their whole hullaballoo.
However, Chris is the better singer, and I think he’ll have a tough time getting ahead of Rihanna with this one maybe since, she’s the victim. And her cover art is sexier LOL. No let me quit.
This is a very saccharine up-tempo ballad though, and the writing is excellent, and it doesn’t sound like rehashed Ne-Yo like Rihanna’s song, though admittedly, her concept is more daring and original.
The comparisons are inevitable though between the two. Chris Brown is definitely not going anywhere though, as “I Can Transform Ya” is already jumping up the charts. He may have a 1-2 punch with this joint when it releases as well…

I feel the same way about this song. I used to stan for CB back in the 9th grade…*shame*. I alienated myself from him and some of his music after the thing with Rihanna, but Chris’s new material is startin to grow on me. Maybe that’s a good thing?
