    • LaTonya Blige’s Soul Is In Danger, And So Are My Ears…

LaTonya Blige – “It’s Coming” Feat. Mary J. Blige (DL)

      OK, well, you know…I…just…wow.

      I’m speechless.

Mary J. Blige’s sister LaTonya is putting out a Gospel project. This is the first single. It sounds like Sweet Minty Jesus is beating the devil upside the head with the planet Mars.

And what’s even worse is that Mary J. Blige is ON the song!

How much ya’ll wanna bet that she didn’t record it in the same studio as her sister?

There are just SO many things wrong with this that I can’t even begin to address them. Why couldn’t Mary have hooked her sister up? I mean, at least let her borrow your throat spray or something. SOMETHING. Poor LaTonya…she will never live this down.

I wonder if she was on some “Eff Mary, I can do this on my own!” and Mary was like “FINE!” and this is what happens. Yeah. That has to be it. Because Mary is a saint, right?

The end of the song (if you make it that far) was some of the worst mess I have EVER heard. A song the angels can’t sing indeed! A prayer circle will convene in the comments section immediately following this post.

LMAO @ “at least let her borrow your throat spray or something.”

Throat spray couldn’t save this song.
She sounds so off key on the hook. My ears are so mad at me right now for listening to that mess!

      8. March 9, 2009 nat

couldnt even get to the end of the song. Jesus is not pleased

      9. March 9, 2009 modi

        GOODNESS.

she had illusions of grandeur that just didn’t pan out right. thank you for inspiring me to get out my bed and take a shower, i needed this. otherwise i’d settle for second place. and start making gospel albums with my sister starring on the lackluster first single.

        cot damn.

i was able to make it to Mary’s part and she kinda saved the song for me… of cousre i will skip to her part all the time though……..

      14. March 9, 2009 twizzle

I blame Mary. I wouldn’t let my sister leave the house wearin’ a f*cked up outfit if I was a fashion designer . . .

So how Mary gone be the queen of Hip Hop Soul and let her sister release this foolishness? Had Mary refrained from being a part of the song, we could at least say “Mary probably told her to step her game up, but LaTonya insisted on doin’ everything HER way . . . ”

The fact that Mary is actually on the track implies that she thinks this song “isn’t bad.”

What does this say about Mary? I know this song is praisin’ the Lord, but, I’ll be damned if this don’t sound like the devil’s work.

This truly is not the jam. It sounds under-produced. You might get away with taking 30 seconds of it and making it an album “interlude” or “outro” cut, but I would not try that either. Not hating, just being honest. R&B music deserves better.

      21. March 10, 2009 forreal

WOW..Oh well LMAO..If you know the right people, anybody can make it in the Music Industry. This is passed a HOT MESS. THIS IS A SIZZLING MESS!! Some dreams should remain dreams, because I have a feeling this will be listners on the radio stations and televisions nightmare. They will force this mess down our ears. Mary J. know she wrong all day long for encouraging her sister to do this album.

      23. March 12, 2009 SC

        WOW….Terrible!

“Email Jesus, Forward To Moses, and CC Allah!”"Jesus is not pleased”

        LMAO!!!

I honestly couldn’t tell the difference she sounded just like Mary’s off key ass to me…lol

      25. March 14, 2009 sean smith

I think if u take latonya out and just let mary sing, the song could be better. I just love Mary voice.

      26. March 19, 2009 J

This is not working. She needs to fine tune it. It sounds like she could have gotten a little bit more skills from her sister. Mary you know you should have been honest about this one. Mary you sound wonderful!!!! I can’t wait till you (Mary) make a gospel album. I’m moving with you and need that from you……You are my inspiration!! Love you!

      27. April 29, 2009 Sexy Lady

This did not sound right at all. It does need some help. Maybe she put this out so that we can comment and then she can make changes. It just sounds as if she had no production help at all.
