Chris Rock brings out an ensemble cast for his remake of the 2007 dark comedy “Death at a Funeral”, but with an urban twist. Features Martin Lawrence, Tracey Morgan, Zoe Saldana, Columbus Short and more. Zoe Saldana…oh yes!
The film, a remake of a 2007 British movie of the same name, revolves around a dysfunctional family which comes together for the patriarch’s funeral, only to be rocked by gay revelations from the deceased’s alleged former lover.
The film is set to debut in April 2010. This looks worthy of a theatre visit to me, what do you think? I’m just glad Martin’s not in a fat suit. And Zoe Saldana…I’ll always pay to see her LOL. *collects thoughts*

I will definitely be going to see it. I love Loretta Devine, and Martin is always funny.

I don’t know, the original only came out 2 years ago. Isn’t that jumping the gun a bit. Why does a 2 year old movie need a remake?

I wanted to see the original when it came out. If I go see this one I will most likely watch the original first.
