You know, I’ve heard of Vikter Duplaix, and I’ve surely got a few tracks laying around somewhere on some hard drive, but I’ve never heard a whole album of his. I know he was nominated for a Grammy last year too, but I was never fully introduced to his music like I have a feeling I know I should have been.
I came across him on Twitter and he’s giving away a free download to his new single “Electric Love” via his official website — simply plugin your email address and you will get your link. However, it’s also posted on Youtube, so I snatched that for your perusal.
I’m loving the smooth BPM and the swirling synths. This joint goes down smooth and easy and it’s a nice change up from all that Trey Songz and R. Kelly’s latest tomfoolery. Multi-instrumentalists are a dying breed, so let’s support this one, shall we?

It’s a cool track w/ a grown folks sexy R&B vibe – definitely a nice departure from “let me talk about your anatomy with wack metaphors” R&B that’s all up on the mainstream airwaves as of late.
I’m a big fan of Vikter Duplaix’s music (he’s on some FIRE RMXs and has solid albums) and am looking forward to his album.

I love Vikter Duplaix! He’s got such a smooth seductive voice. I’ve enjoyed previous work from him (Morena!!!!!!) and have had Electric Love on repeat for weeks now. You do have to punch in your email address to get the free MP3 but I’ve not had any problems. Please support great new music and get that free track while it’s still free!
