Beat Assailant is a Miami born, ATL raised but France living American rapper who started off underground here in the States, but fell in love with French culture and decided to plant roots there, from what I can gather. He’s worked with many a big American personality, but it was in France where he met his oft-times production partner, Danny Wild.
His hip-hop music is a good blend of many genres all with influences by the Parisian music scene. This song “Spy” is taken from his latest album Rhyme Space Continuum. You can check out more clips of his music on his Myspace, all which I really liked actually.
The video itself is actually really cool visually, featuring some slick graphics and what else — a spy theme. Straight out the pages of a 2009 James Bond movie. It’s all smooth to take in and watch, and is a nice homage. Reminds me of “Casino Royale” with Daniel Craig actually — this song could fit right in as the theme for a new Bond movie.
