You can’t hate on a dude that writes his own music, plays it, and sings it though, right?
Ryan Leslie performed his song “I Choose You” on “The Mo’Nique Show” off his latest album Transition. We have commented many a time about Ryan Leslie, and though his vocal was plain, it was sincere and it reveberated with the listeners I feel. It seemed honest and sometimes simple is all you need. Plus, check the strings! LOL!
To be the Devil’s advocate…no I won’t go there today. Just let me know what YOU think? What could Ryan do to make his music more interesting to the masses?

I honestly think he should work on some of the productions of the songs a bit and go back to the quite diverse album like his first album, but tweak it a bit. I’m a Ryan Leslie fan, but even I can admit that some of his songs sound like a crummy Neptunes production.
The lyrics is great, but I think he should take his sound to a new level.
I also think he should work on getting tons of more web exposure like prior to his first album. Maybe he can collaborate with different producers for his next effort as well.
