OK maybe that was wrong, but I gotta comment on this performance LOL.
D. Woods (who was introduced as a multi-platinum recording artist to boot!!) sang the National Anthem at one of the games…I don’t follow sports really so which one, *shrugs*. However, let’s talk about it.
This is probably one of the hardest songs to sing on key and pitch ever, but that doesn’t mean it’s okay to get it wrong. Please bust out a pitch pipe and hit your first note.
She started off shaky and there were some parts in those first few bars that I was like, “Ummm…”. She didn’t finish TOO bad, but overall she sang that song in the key of A-mess.
And only black folk take that song A) to church, B) to riff and run school or C) the rafters. LOL, she tried to do all three and WAMP.
God bless America though!

I was pleasantly surprised. I expected much worse. It was a little flat, but definitely not horrible.
Relative to Keyshia Cole, she killed it.

There was nothing wrong with this, other than she’s not Beyonce or JHud, aka, the only 2 black female artists who people don’t clown all day.
I swear, this is exactly why i stopped going to these black blogs.

And if you think there was nothing wrong with this, then you must like people like Cassie and Amerie to sing sweet nothings to you in your ear while they have ear infections because D. Woods was OFF at points. Seriously. I’m not making it up, it’s the truth!
