Classic! The once named Stronger new album from The Queen of Hip-Hop/Soul Mary J. Blige has been renamed Stronger With Each Tear and it shows Mary as the classic voice, image and songbird that she is. With some placements in movies (“I Can Do Bad All By Myself” and the title song from “Precious” “I Can See In Color”) and her status as an icon pretty much sealed, she’s testing the waters with a new album.
The singles have been meh though and I’m not holding too much hope. She didn’t have any real smashes out the box like the last album, and the Drake-assisted “The One” fell off pretty quickly.
With gaps in the latest generation for icons, she better bump it up and make some more defining classics. She maybe could replace Mariah and Whitney as the go-to divas…
New album drops December 22nd. I still say that the beginning of “I Am”, her latest single, sounds like “You Are Everything” LOL.

I knew I couldn’t be the only one that thought of “Everything” whenever “I Am” played.
I’m still pulling for Mary on this album. I wonder of that “Queen” joint will be on there though.

This album cover looks like a painting.
I always pull for Mary to bring a masterpiece, however it seems that her albums are always full of the 2-3 single-worthy songs, and then a bunch of really meh music.
