Janelle Monae performs at The Roots’ Jam Session at the Highline Ballroom in New York recently. Usually she doesn’t do it for me, but she’s like, the slimmed down cuter version of Grace Jones’ performance and Patti LaBelle’s faces, I swear! LOL. When she hopped on the congas at the end I was like, “Diddy is gonna drive this girl into oblivion, po’ thang!” She’s so nice LOL.
This is a video of INCUBUS doing Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy” with The Roots on Jimmy Fallon. I actually watched this live and I was PLEASANTLY surprised. Incubus was actually one of my faves in the 90’s, and I was NOT expecting this. It was soooo dope. Brandon Boyd’s vocals were excellent — he even had the scream down!
Dopeness!
Enjoy these random visual/musical treats LOL.

That was black thought doing the screams. The performance was dope. Quest said that there wouldn’t be videos posted due to copyright issues. You better watch yourself IPS

All I want to know is how much did Incubus had to pay to sing a Prince song? I thought he didn’t allow anyone to sing his songs.
