Wow. Is Black Thought channeling James Brown? LOL.
This was MAD funky and old school and Roots as a band are so crazy. However, I wasn’t feeling it too much when Black Thought was doing his old school James Brown & The J.B.’s throwback tribute LOL. Him singing is just not that great. I cringe when he does it on Fallon occasionally. I know he’s not a singer, but sheesh! But when he started rapping, YEAHHHHHHH.
Oh and I lol’ed at the tambourine/percussion player in the back! Dude is getting it IN. And of course the lil’ dance routine at the end was a nice touch Thought.
Overall though, I like it! What ya’ll think!?

LOL I love The Roots. I can’t wait to see them when they perform here next week!
