OK, correct me if I’m wrong, but I felt like on that extended intro at the end, she was NOT singing that falsetto note live. I don’t know what ya’ll think?
Solange’s CD has grown on me but yet and still, I only like bits and pieces of it. Her voice is definitely one that you have to grow acclimated too. She’s good but not great; ample but yet anemic, etc. Her songs and music/instrumentation are great, but I feel like the power of the “T.O.N.Y.” song was lost in this live performance.
The music video she delivered for this song was such a powerful tool of what the song was about that this live performance left me wanting. I needed Solange to kick it up a notch, but she did an alright job. I enjoyed it.

Yeah, TBH Solange has a real unique voice but not a bad one at all. Her AOL sessions have her killing those falsetto notes so I don’t know, though I agree it didn’t look like she was actually singing now that I think on it.

To me, it seemed like it was live? and the lil’ reverb they had going on when she started the high note, wasn’t that proof of that note being live? Lol that’s just my 2 cts.
She’s going to perform in Amsterdam on May 19th, and I’m going to see her. I’m really looking forward to finally seeing her live.
Don’t hate me for buying the tix; they were just $15 dollars each.
Oh yeah, expect me to write a review for her show + Beyoncés show (may 2nd). :) I’ll try to shoot some exclusive pics, too.

at 1:54 and later on in this clip I thought she was lip-synching because it repeats in Solange’s voice a couple lines. one time it’s “never tony” I think. and the other time “but I like Tony.”
