The Queen is back!
Unfortunately, I’m not really feeling this song at all. It translates better live though than it does on wax. This is her new song though and I want to know what ya’ll are thinking about this.
The whole rock vibe is…cool I guess. And you know what? She sounds really good vocally though, I was super surprised! She’s gotten much better with the singing lately, so I can definitely give her her props for that.
She looks like she got on the spanx of life though LOL. Get it Queen! I mean, I’d seriously consider for 5 seconds going out on a date with Queen LOL…but…well…I don’t know.

all I hear when I listen to this is
“I’m a lesbian, I’m a lesbian, cue the rain”
nah, for reals, this isn’t a bad song, but I dunno, odd concept for her to go this way. I had thought she was working on a rap album, which would be much more awesome.
I do quite like her singing voice tho, her album of standards is quite awesome.

I’m with Matt (his comment on rap, at least… lol)
I’m ready for another RAP album from the Queen.
She’s looking good as always, though and this song is alright. Nothing I’d be bumping heavily, but it’ll do…

ROFL @ “I’m a lesbian, I’m a lesbian, cue the rain” HAHAHA I can’t!!
Her singing voice has gotten MUCH better though, but yeah, I want some rap now LOL.

I’ve kind of loved this song ever since it was released. I actually just listened to it before I came here. lol

I wish Queen would return to ‘The Dana Ownes Album’ material. Her first singing effort was a masterpiece, ‘Travelin’ Light’? Not so much. This new song is just a bigger departure from what, in my opinion, makes her voice intriguing. Queen is not a contemporary singer, she belongs in the Dinah Washington/Nancy Wilson lane…I wish she’d go back.

This song has to grow on me.
@ IPS, I’m mad you know about Spanx. Don’t go giving away the secret to the “faux hourglass” figure.

Listen. I think this song is GREAT. I heard it on Letterman and just thought “DAMN GIRL”… brilliant. Completely blown away.
Then I got the actual track. Hate it. HATE IT. The vocal production on the actual record is F*CKING TERRIBLE. LAZY production, whoever did it.

TOLD YOU the live was better than the recorded!
