    • Live Performances: Day26 – “Perfectly Blind”; Finale Was Not Final Enough!

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Apr 24, 09

OK, that Making the Band finale last night was SO anticlimactic that I am not even going to bother with a recap. But basically, them hoes is still broke up, Dawn chopped her hair and is still going solo, Day26 are still terrible live performers, and it’s really all about Diddy and his Twitter & T-shirts. It was OBVIOUS that them chicks can’t stand Dawn either.

Day26 performed a song from their album called “Perfectly Blind” and I could have rolled a boulder through what notes they were supposed to be singing and the ones that ACTUALLY came out! And don’t tell me they were out of breath, them mofos were sitting DOWN.

Even Willie sounded a mess, and I swear at one point even Aubrey was like “wtf is going on?!” That was a DREADFUL performance and if I had hinged my purchase of their album on that performance, it’d still be sitting at the store.

I vote no…all their performances were pretty lame. Don’t even get me started on “Can’t Sang Klang” (c) divaTy. Again, he has the stage presence of a naked mole rat. His smedium shirt alone was enough to make me retire for th evening.

Diddy’s doing ANOTHER girl group — I don’t think I will be tuning in anymore unless they all sound like Tamia and Whitney or something. I’m over it!

“he has the stage presence of a naked mole rat.”

OMG!!!! ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where did you get that one from??!!!! That’s has been stored in my mind forever. Classic.

      2. April 24, 2009 Nickey

Oh, I couldn’t understand any words. I had the ish up loud too.

      3. April 24, 2009 nappygwen

I was hoping you would post this drudgery! At first I thought something was wrong with their mics but that is just their horrible singing. I couldn’t believe Dawn was mouthing the words to that mess—it wasn’t even a good song.

And for the life of me, I still can’t figure out what happened to Danity Kane. If there was that much bitterness, how in the world did they keep it off camera? Why wasn’t one of them “Que-ing” on the show? Somebody needs to tell the real truth and point some fingers!

      4. April 25, 2009 Aairy

@ nappygwen i agree wit u a 100%. like wtf happen to them? they need a tell all book or sumshit cuz i wanna kno wat went down and why the hell they afraid to speak the truth about it. they be beatin around the damn bush about the shit. lik really? is it that serious?

      5. April 25, 2009 miss_simplicty

I guess im the only one who thought Danity Kane sucked. To me he was trying to make a international Total but it didnt work. Also I think its obvious he trying to mold Day 26 into another version of 112. Buts its not working. but they do sound like a broke version of 112 though lmao. Yep

      6. April 26, 2009 kelis

I mean.. did Dawn write the song or somethin? Because she was really into it.. and it wasn’t even remotely good. They all sounded terrible and they suck as performers.

      7. April 26, 2009 Nat

Im ashamed that I know this but , yes, Dawn and Que wrote that song “perfectly blind”

      8. April 27, 2009 just my luck

My musically ears were shot. When robert and mike were doing a “duet” Robert was off pitch than a muthafucka. then mike heard his pitch and had to cover over roberts notes. Then i guess robert thought he was out singing him and he started singing louder.. then mike was like fuck it.
It was not a good blend.. RObert does hella extras.

      9. April 27, 2009 Coco Bea

They both wrote that song?! Wow, they don’t need to write any more songs ever, that ish was horrible!

I would like to know what really happened too but I think Dawn is the whole reason for their breakup. Diddy & Dawn were secretly getting Dawn’s solo career off the ground when the girls were still together, they found out and now their mad about it…I guess we will never know the true story.

      10. April 27, 2009 desireechick

I think the reason why Diddy’s most recent acts like Cassie, Danity Kane and Cheryl Dennis or whatever has failed is because they were never good to begin with. Plus, we already have TONS of acts like that out there saturating the air waves as we speak. Those artists just drown in an already overloaded urban market. I mean, really, why shove down our throats mediocore acts that are doing the same sound that other artists that exsist can do so much better? Diddy should just retire from music ENTIRELY! Like, no producing or anything. He has since expired circa 1999.

      11. April 27, 2009 MzVirgo

All I have to say is, Booooo, Day 26, Booooo!

What was up with the capri pants that Robert was wearing and the military jacket that Que was wearing?

      12. May 12, 2009 U KNO!!!

I THINK THEY DID A GOOD JOB.IF THEY DIDNT THEN THE AUDIENCE WOULDNT HAVE BEEN SCREAMING AND SINGING ALONG WITH THEM..AND THEY MADE THE BAND BECUZ THEY COULD SING NOT BECUZ THEY COULDNT..AND IM PRETTY SURE THAT DIDDY HAS BEEN IN THE GAME LONG ENOUGH BY NOW TO KNOW WHO HAS TALENT AND WHO DONT!!

      13. May 13, 2009 U KNO!!!

their performance was not bad @ all
