Acclaimed director Spike Jonze doesn’t do many music videos anymore, especially since he’s directing the awesome “Where The Wild Things Are”, based off of the classic children’s book (watch the trailer here if you missed it BTW).
Word he is his going to come back to his non-moneymaker of videos for the one and only Kanye West to do a short film for his song “See You In My Nightmares” from 808′s and Heartbreaks.
However, he has made one more music video for buddy Kanye West, which he calls a “short film” (visions of Michael Jackson, John Landis/Martin Scorsese videos start to pop in our head). Jonze already directed a West a disturbing video for “Flashing Lights,” so which one will he tackle from 808s & Heartbreak. According to an AP interview, the short film music video will be for the track “See You In My Nightmares” (Source)
What do we think about this? Anything with Lil’ Wayne I’m against these days, but Spike Jonze?! I’m all on board for that. I wonder if Kanye will get a Michael Jackson-esque budget? You know he would make good use of it LOL.
Say what you want about Kanye, but his creativity is on a hundred thousand trillion…this isn’t my favorite song, but I think it could be interesting visually done right.
